3:30 Lingfield (25th February) Free Racing Tips

Not really much of a summary on this race because it's not strictly a sprint -it's over seven furlongs. Many readers will remember Rutterkin racing in the royal blue silks of Godolphin. This American-bred son of Maria's Mon was purchased by Alan Berry at two for £2,500. This gelding won for the stable but twenty-seven races later and a change of stable or two
means it has been a long time between drinks. However, it is intriguing that last time out this grey was made favourite. Queally took the ride in favour of apprentice Victor Santos who had been part of the furniture. I thought it had no chance and suggested people laid the horse. Moffatt's six year old still went off 7/2 favourite -finished fifth. I'm fairly sure today's extra furlong will be much more suiting. In December, he recorded a fast time at this course. Although finishing sixth, this April foal stayed on but got no run. This bottom weight has a decent each way claims and priced 16/1 with Bet365. (E.R.I.C.)

Yes, I think the horse ran well. Looked to have fair place claims on the finish. In fact, it touched odds-on on the exchanges. You can't expect every 201/ to win - so although disappointing it was a decent effort.
