3:05 Southwell (11th March) BEST ODDS AT BOOKMAKERS.CO.UK HANDICAP

Only seven runners.  Four: Dancing Freddy, Dissent, College Doll, Spic n Span, have been known to lead or at least try to lead. I think the winner may come from these four unless Incomparable is fully wound up. However, being off  799 days is a long time. College Doll is the top of my figures and has only raced at this course the once when fourth of twelve, beaten under four lengths in
a fast time. A reproduction of that run would be easily enough but it hasn't been in form lately and seems to be in the grip of the handicapper. Best to leave the race alone....

3:45 Southwell - A twelve-runner race where once again four horses: Tyfos, Abi Scarlett, Electric Qatar & Star Up In The Sky have been known to lead. I think the trip may be too far for both Eleictric Qatar and Tyfos. The other two front runners are my top two rated. Star Up In The Sky is an improving four-year-old but its last win was in a Class 6 handicap and this race today is a Class 4. The weight it's receiving comes out on top in my figures. My idea here is to dutch Star Up In The Sky (6/1) and Abi Scarlet (5/1).

5:45 Wolverhampton - It's hard to know what to expect in terms of the going at this track since being re-laid last year. It seems very much dependent on what the weather's like. The days when there's been heavy rain the times have been very slow but as we have had a few fine days the times have been improving. Hopefully it will be back to somewhere near normal. Red Cape is a probable leader and it comes out third on my figures so could be hard to keep out of the frame. The selection, Lucky Dan, actually led its race last time out but that was over seven furlongs. It faded, as expected, ridden by Joe Fanning. It was the first time he had ridden the horse and i think it might be a worthwhile hint that he's riding the horse again in this race back down a more suitable trip. I think the tip may be worth noting and at the 16/1 available, with eight runners and three paces, I think it could be worth a small each way bet (E.R.I.C.)

Lucky Dan is certainly on a good mark and may take advantage - keep an eye out also for the stables Baltic Prince later on.

I'm not sure who you are - but I'm just the admin man. Eric can back up the figures on TBP so don't see any problem with it. Are you the little devil or angel on Eric's left and right shoulder?
