4:40 Southwell (4th March) Compare Bookmakers At Bookmakers.Co.Uk Handicap

Lost In Paris can employ virtually any tactics but may need a run after being off since October 1st. He hasn't recorded any times that would give it claims to winning this race. ROWE PARK ran well last time out over course and distance when second. This gelding only beaten a nose in a fast time can either track the leaders or, if needs, can lead. Electric Qatar
is another that can lead or track the leaders. Alan McCabe's horse has only recorded slow times over course and distance. Iffranesia can be held up or track the leaders and comes out third on my ratings - each way chances. Thorpe Bay likes to track the leaders comes out fifth on my figures so may not be good enough to even make the frame. Sir Geoffrey likes to lead or track them and comes out second on my figures. Must have a chance of making the frame. Only Ten Per Cent is either held up or tracks the leaders and comes out fourth on my ratings so may not be good enough today. Pull the Pin can employ any sort of tactics but has only ever recorded slow times over course and distance.

SUMMARY: Five horses have been known to lead and my top two rated are both possible front runners. If Rowe Park reproduces its run from last time out it should win and isn't a bad price at 9/2. If  drifting to 5/1 or more would be a good each way bet.

5.10 Southwell - Sewn Up has only produced slow figures over course and distance. This is a hold-up type but doubt if he will involved here. Caramelita likes to track the leaders and comes out third on my figures so could make the frame. MASAI MOON 6/1 is a hold-up type and has a decent chance in this field. Izzy Boy has only produced poor form over course and distance. This hold-up type may not get involved. Dancing Freddy can be held up or track the leaders but may find this trip too far. Avonmore Star another hold up or track the leaders type but has poor form on the all-weather. Would need to improve dramatically to be involved. Solarmaite is the only horse that has tried to lead before and comes out second on my figures so must have a good each way chance. Ideally, needs to hit the front from the off. Laughing Rock has only produced slow times over course and distance with poor all-weather form. It can be held up or track the leaders but doubt it will be thereabouts at the finish. Masked Dance has produced slow times and needs to improve to be involved.

SUMMARY... If Solarmaite does set the pace from the start then it has got a decent chance and the only horse that should pick it up is Masai Moon, (E.R.I.C.)

Masia Moon 6/1 1st
