3:05 Lingfield Racing Tip (1st May) H&V SERVICEPLAN FILLIES´ HANDICAP (CLASS 5) (4yo+ 0-70)

Pucon is having its first run of the season after 191 days off. It can either track the leaders or lead and is well drawn in stall one. It may be a better horse at five furlongs. Koharu is either held up or can track the leaders but has poor form on the all-weather and it may need the run after being off course for 169 days. Being a four year old it could still be open to improvement but doubt it will be good enough here. Emerald Sea is another that can be held up or track the pace but is another making its seasonal bow after being off for 169 days. It ran in the same
race as Koharu and another four year old so could improve. Aeolin Blue is another capable of tracking the pace or being held up and won last time out at Kempton. It achieved a fairly slow time and may be outpaced here if the early pace is fast. It should run on strongly. Ada Lovelace has been off for 143 days so may need the run but may be better off when raced over five furlongs even with its usual hold up style. CLOCK OPERA is the other horse that has been known to lead before but can adopt any sort of tactics and is nicely drawn in stall three if deciding to lead. Chevise prefers to track the leaders and comes out second on my ratings so could sit nicely behind the leaders and may make the frame. Silvee also likes to track the pace makers but has only recorded slow times on the course and may prefer a slower surface.

SUMMARY: The favourite Aeolian Blue is a short price at 13/8 and may improve even further after its win last time out but the time was fairly slow. If  CLOCK OPERA decides to lead every other horse has got to improve to catch it. If the horse is raced in any other fashion I wouldn't rule him out as he finished well from off the pace when winning over course and distance four runs ago. At odds of 8/1 it is worth an each way bet.

Clock Opera 14/1 (BOG) 1st
