5:50 Wolverhampton Racing Tip (4th April) BEST ODDS AT BOOKMAKERS.CO.UK HANDICAP (CLASS 6) (4yo+ 0-55)

Triple Aitch has only recorded slow times recently at the course but over seven furlongs - this trip may be too short. Prigsnov Dancer can track the front runners or lead and is fifth on my figures. It is the best drawn in stall three of the potential four leaders. SEWN UP is a hold up type and isn't badly drawn in stall six. It comes out top of my figures but a hold up horse always needs some degree of good fortune to get a clear run on a turning course. Avondream likes to track the pace but may prefer a faster surface. Lucky Mark is a potential leader but
drawn in stall ten could force different tactics. It is my fourth top rated. Ivestar is either held up or tracks the leaders and is my third top rated but is poorly drawn in stall eleven. Captain Scooby may find this trip too far and prefer a faster surface. Errigal Lad has poor all weather form and may find this too far. He has only produced slow times. Veery First Blade could possibly try to lead but is drawn in stall twelve. Perhaps not quick enough to be involved here. Baltic Gin tracks the pace but only runs too a slow time so maybe outpaced. Daneglow is better at five furlongs and I doubt it will stay. Flow Chart is another known to lead and drawn in stall seven so can't be ruled out. It comes out second best and at 12/1 may be worth an each way interest. Lord Buffhead may find this too far and has only slow times at this distance.

6:25 Wolverhampton - Red Baron has course, fitness and distance against it, so easily dismissed. Powerful Pierre has poor form at course and distance and this trip may be too short. We'll Deal Again can either lead or track the leaders and is sixth rated by me. I doubt it can lead here or win. Kylee Mooch may need the run to gain fitness and even at its best only comes out fifth top. PROFILE STAR likes to lead or track the leaders if needs be. I'm hoping it can sit closely behind the likely leader and prove stronger than the rest. Intrepid has several things going against it here and isn't rated in my top six so easily passed over. Desert Striker is the best drawn in stall four of the likely leaders and this may give it an advantage and is my third top rated so must have some chance if it gets to the front early on. Top Boy has only shown slow times at course and distance and passed over here. Bapak Bangsawan can either lead or track the leaders and my fourth top rated. I think a place is the best it can hope for. Harrowgate Fair tracks the leaders and comes out second by me and is quite well drawn in stall three to get a prominent early position.

SUMMARY: 5:50 Wolverhampton - Flow Chart is my favourite to get the lead and will prove a target for the selection SEWN UP (7/1) to aim at. With a clear run he should prove the strongest. 6:25 Wolverhampton - Desert Strike only ever wins when it leads so is the most likely pace setter. PROFILE STAR will be sitting nicely in second place and has the times to win. (E.R.I.C.)

Sewn Up 7/1 1st
