2:40 Lingfield Racing Tip (27th May) DOWNLOAD THE 888SPORT.COM MOBILE APP HANDICAP (CLASS 4) (4yo+ 0-80)

OH SO SASSY may need the run after being off for 217 days and is a possible pace setter or it may track the leaders and is my top rated if only just. Marmalady may find this trip a bit too short but has produced a reasonably fast time on good to firm going so Lingfield could suit and is another that either tracks the leaders or can try to lead. Secret Missile is either held up or can track the early pace. It has produced a slow figure
here over six furlongs and at Kempton so doesn't give any confidence. Desert Strike is my third top rated and another that could try to lead, which is its preferred style. Tidals Baby usually tracks the leaders and may find this trip too short and has shown nothing to get into my ratings at this trip. Jungle Bay can be held up or track the leaders and as this trip may be too short it will have to try and stay close to the early pace if it can but I doubt it's capable as there looks to be plenty of fast early pace in this race. Royal Aquisition is another horse that likes to lead but isn't in my top four so may struggle here but is ideally drawn in stall one. Howyadoingnotsobad also usually tries to lead and is drawn in stall two but once again it's not in my top four so dubious about its chances. Pucon can either try to lead or track the leaders and I think it might not quite be fast enough to lead but it is my fourth top rated so must have some semblance of a chance. ASK THE GURU is either held up or tracks the early pace and is my second top rated and then only by one spot so can't be discounted lightly especially as my top rated may need the run.

4:10 Lingfield - Salvado may need this run after 185 days off and it has got no form in England - so it could be a hidden danger. Dishy Guru can be held up or track the pacemakers but has only produced slow times at this distance which might be too far for it. All Or Nothing likes to track the leaders but has got poor form on the all weather and may find this trip too short. Trending can be held up or track the pace but may prefer a slower surface and isn't in my top three. Clearing usually prefers to lead and would have a great chance of leading here if it wasn't for being drawn in stall eleven. Black Truffle usually tracks the pace but doubt it can catch all those ahead and may find this trip too short. Johnny Splash is another that likes to try and lead and could manage that in this race and being my third top rated may be hard to catch. Reginald Claude is usually held up in its races and is my second top rated so should be finishing quite well towards the end of the race. WEST LEAKE is my top rated and is another hold up type and quite nicely drawn in stall four to cover any moves. Compton Albon likes to track the leaders but hasn't got any relevant form so is hard to evaluate but doubt it will be good enough to get involved here.

SUMMARY: 2:40 Lingfield - I make this between OH SO SASSY 4/1 second favourite so it looks like its quite well fancied to be fit enough to show its best and ASK THE GURU who at 18/1 could be a nice each way bet. You could actually back both and show a profit if either wins or just the each way bet comes in. 4:10 Lingfield - WEST LEAKE will be hopefully finishing fastest of them all and both my top two rated are hold up types, If the selection gets a clear passage should be able to pick up the leaders and at 8/1 is just about big enough to do each way just in case it doesn't get a clear run.
