Eleven runners but the only one known to lead before is the 7/4 favourite Avonmore Star. I've tipped this horse when it won its last two races. It comes out second on my ratings and will be hard to catch if it does lead but I'm hoping that the selection BELLE BEYARDO 8/1 can sit handily during the race and finish the strongest. It won over seven furlongs recently so there's no doubt about it being strong at the distance.
2:30 Brighton - Only seven runners. There's only two horses known to lead before and Powerful Wind is one of them but only fifth in my ratings. The other possible leader is CLEAR PRAISE 7/1 but it doesn't have to lead to show its best as its versatile tactics-wise but if it does lead will be very hard for any of these to catch. All the other five runners like to track the leaders.
9:05 Newbury - Twelve runners and half the field has been known to lead before and five of the possible leaders are in my top six ratings: Edged Out is my sixth rated, The Dandy Yank is fourth rated, Monarch Maid is my third top rated, my second top rated is Ginzan but the top rated is Solemn 15/2 but the jockey, David probert has ridden forty times for the Milto Bradley stable and hasn't ridden one single winner so i'd advise to leave the race alone.
SUMMARY: 1:30 Brighton - I think the race will involve the favourite who may try to lead all the way but I'm hoping BELLE BEYARDO 8/1 can stay handy just off the pace and prove the strongest close home. 2:30 Brighton - Hopefully the selection CLEAR PRAISE 7/1 can get to the front and will then be very very hard for these to pass. As I said I'm leaving the 9:10 Newbury race alone just because of the poor record with this trainer/jockey combination.
