2:05 Sandown Racing Tip (5th July) CORAL CHARGE (Registered as The Sprint Stakes) (Group 3)

A five furlong group three race with thirteen runners. There are six three-year-olds in the race who haven't achieved enough yet to be in my ratings but they are likely to have improvement in themselves but I'm hoping it's not in this race. There are three known front runners and two of them are three-year-olds but the other front runner is also my top rated STEPPER POINT 6/1 who ran very well last time out when second to Sole Power at Ascot in the Kings Stand. A reproduction of that run should be enough but William Muir has sent thirty one horses to Sandown without a winner,  which does make me wary but not enough to put me off having a small wager. My second and third top rated horess are Ahtoug and Steps who finished in fifth and sixth in the same race at Ascot.

3:40 Beverley - Seventeen runners so a tricky race to solve. There are five possible pace setters so it should be a fast early pace. Rusty Rocket, Bondi Beach Boy, Mr Mo Jo are not in my top five so I doubt they will be there at the finish. Six Wives is my fourth top rated and ran Friday, so will have to see if it runs again. Lost In Paris could lead and is also my joint top rated along with Sleepy Blue Ocean. However, Lost In Paris has been out of form for quite a while in class five races so I doubt things will change here in a class four race. Sleepy Blue Ocean usually produces its best form on flat tracks so I doubt Beverley will suit, so I'm going to go for the top weight * FITZ FLYER 14/1 who looked like it was running into form last time out when it ran third at Newcastle in a class two race so this drop in class could suit and at the price may be worth a small each way bet. *NR

6:40 Carlisle - Twelve runners with four that have led before but none of them are in my top three. My third top rated is Salvatore Fury who is either held up or tracks the leaders, second top is Bosun Breese but this horse has been out of form recently and I doubt its form will change here. Top rated is FOL HOLLOW 25/1 who is well weighted and can either lead or be held up and has had two runs this season on soft ground and not shown much form but will be better suited to the good to firm going. As long as the rains hold off and at the odds I suggest a small each way bet.

Stepper Point 6/1 6th
Fol Hollow 33/1 8th
