A class four race but not that good even for the grade. There are three horses that have led before: Eland Ally who is quite versatile with its racing style but it's not produced a time fast enough to register on my records. Another possible front runner is the three-year-old Foxy Clarets but its time when it led were also slow but it could improve. The third possible leaders is my top rated MEANDMYSHADOW 14/1. It won from the front the time before last but couldn't get to the front last time out but there's more chance of it leading here and at the odds could be worth a small each way bet. However, I'm saying small stakes because there may be other hidden dangers with younger three and four-year-olds open to improvement.
6:25 Newbury - There are four known front runners in the field and my top three ratings are among them so could be a fast run race. Poyle Vinnie is the possible leader but the one that's not in my top three. Tyfos, my second top rated, and Dawn Catcher, my second top rated, are both carrying six pound penalties for winning last time out and both of them are now carrying in my ratings a little bit too much weight. The top rated becomes RYLEE MOOCH 15/2. With eight runners it's worth a small each way bet.
7:10 Epsom - Only two known pace makers here: Clear Praise who isn't in my top three but led all the way at Brighton three runs ago (but its time was slow and apart from one race at Lingfield on good ground its times have all been slow), Marjong, also has recorded one fast time at Goodwood but the rest of its times have been slow, while Huntsman's Close is the other possible front-runner and is my second top rated - so could be hard too catch. The favourite SWISS CROSS 5/2 is my top rated and is the selection. As long as Clear Praise or Marjong decide to spring back to form it has a few pounds in hand.
