A twenty-runner six furlong class two handicap with five horses that have been known to lead: Morawij, Bondesire, Kimberella, Whozthecat & See The Sun but none of them are in my top six ratings so it looks likely to play into the hands of a hold-up type. Muthmir usually likes to track the pace and comes out third on my ratings so must have at least each way claims. Picture Dealer is well weighted on its best form and comes out second in my figures but I'm surprised to see the top weight HOOF IT 14/1 remain as my top rated after the weight adjustments are made, so I'm hoping it has got a decent chance and at the price it has to be an each way bet.
6:45 Salisbury - This is a very poor class six race and there is only one horse that has met my bottom rating - Joyous 9/2. It's not only a poor race it's also a strange race because there are nine runners but not one of them has been known to lead. As you may have noticed, I didn't put Joyous in capitals like most selections because some of my data conflicts itself. The trainer, Dean Ivory, has sent nineteen runners to the course without a winner but when he has employed jockey Richard Hughes he has won five times from sixteen rides. I'm leaving the decision up to you as whether you have a bet or not!
There's one other sprint I've looked through: Newcastle 4.50. The top rated here is from a trainer who has sent eleven horses to the course and no wins, plus the jockey has ridden twenty-seven times for the trainer without success. I'll omit this from my list. I detailed this scenario so you realise that I don't just make my selections on times alone even though I don't put any horse up as a selection unless it is my top rated.
