Eighteen runners with five horses known to lead before. Polski Max, drawn four,Gran Canaria Queen, drawn ten, Eland Ally, drawn fifteen, but none of these three have recorded a time good enough to be in my top six. However, it shows the early pace is spread across the track. Hadaj, drawn seventeen, is my sixth top rated. My fourth and fifth top rated Barney McGrew and Head Space can both either be held up or track the leaders, while my third and second top rated Tax Free and Enderby Spirit both like to chase the leaders - the latter hasn't been in form lately. Now if you've been paying attention, you will have realised there's one possible leader still to be mentioned plus the top rated and that is the same horse AVONMORE STAR 20/1 who I tipped when it won twice. It has run once since then when it dropped back into a class six race and couldn't carry the ten stones to victory and did quite well to finish third of ten runners, beaten just under three lengths and that was its third race in twelve days. I think it was a bit too much to ask of the horse. It has now had nearly a month off course and I'm hoping the break has done the trick. Carrying only eight stone seven I think it must have at least an each way chance and on its best time recorded at Epsom it could quite easily win the race.
