A seven runner class four race with three horses that have led a race before. FEVER FEW 4/1 likes to track the leaders and I'm hoping the seven pound claiming apprentice Sam Clarke, who is only having his fourth ride, is up to the task but I doubt the trainer Chris Wall [pictured] would use him if he didn't think he could do the job. Burren View Lady is either held up or can track the pace but might find the trip a bit too far and has never won in a class four race on grass. Refuse Colette can either track the leaders or actually lead but might find this trip too short so might get outpaced early. It has won twice recently over the distance at Yarmouth but both times were quite slow and didn't make its way into my figures. First Experience usually tracks the pace and comes out third on my figures and as a three=year-old might have some improvement to come but it must be genuine good to firm or firmer going for this one to show its best. Guishan won for us last time out on the all-weather at Southwell but may prefer a slower surface than the good to firm going that is forecast and has only produced slow times on turf. Ligeia is another three-year-old so not to be discounted too lightly but would need to improve to win. It can lead or track the leaders but might prefer a longer trip so I'm doubting if it's fast enough to get to the front. Meandmyshadow is the third horse that is known to have led before and it's the one of the three known leaders that will like the distance here and it comes out second best on my figures so could be hard to catch for most of these.
SUMMARY: I'm expecting my second top rated Meandmyshadow to get to the lead and set a decently fast early pace and then the only horse that has produced a faster time is the selection FEVER FEW 4/1 so if it all goes to plan I can't see any others getting involved.
