3:30 Ripon Racing Tips (4th August) WEATHERBYS STALLION BOOK SUMMER SPRINT TROPHY (Handicap) (CLASS 3) (3yo+ 0-95)

Another Wise Kid is usually held up or tracks the early pace and might find this trip a bit too far and isn't in my top four. Out Do likes to track the leaders and is second on my figures and is the 7/2 favourite. So Beloved may find this trip too short so will need to be close to the pace throughout to have any chance but has no form at this distance to work with. Cosmic Chatter likes to either track the pace or make the pace itself and is my fourth top rated so some of these will find it hard to get involved. Secret Look also likes to track the leaders but hasn't recorded any times to make me think it will be involved in the finish. Pipers Note likes to track the pace and is fifth on my figures so doubt it will be there at the finish. Mappin Time may find this trip too far on good or better going and it has only produced slow times. WAFFLE 10/1 is my top rated and is one of only two horses in the field that have been known to lead before and if it does get to the front maybe very hard to catch but at the odds I have to recommend an each way bet. My Name Is Rio likes to track the early pace and comes out third on my ratings so should have an each way chance but the price isn't quite big enough for that. Personal Touch likes to track the pace but isn't really looking like a sprinter and may prefer more than this six furlong trip. Ruby's Day hasn't got any form at this distance and may find it too far so I doubt it will be involved in the finish.

7:30 Windsor - Role Player has only got poor form at the distance but does like to either track the pace or actually make the pace. DESERT COMMAND 5/1 usually tracks the early pace and likes it to be on the fast side so its stamina comes into play and should have a good target to aim at. Amadeus Wolfe Tone is one of only two horses in the race to have tried to lead before and it is my second top rated and could be hard to catch if it gets an uncontested lead. Tagula Night finds six furlongs a bit too far even when held up and isn't on my radar as the likely winner. Breccbennach is the other possible leader but has poor form at this distance and may find the trip too short so to have any chance it has got to be up there from the start. O'Gorman is either held up or tracks the pace but isn't in my top three. Dominate also likes to be held up or track the pace but also isn't in my top three here so makes limited appeal. Shamahan prefers to track the leaders but its times have been on the slow side and would need to improve greatly to win this. Vallarta can be held up or track the leaders but once again its only produced slow times and may not catch the pace setters.  Sacha Park is only a three year old and is my third top rated and likes to track the pace setters but is open to improvement so it can't be ruled out of the calculations. Bainne is usually held up but with its times I doubt it will get involved here. Triple Chocolate hasn't got any form at this distance on good or better going and may prefer a slower surface and might find the trip is too short.

SUMMARY: 3:30 Ripon - An each way bet on WAFFLE at 10/1 but the trainer, David Baron, does also have Cosmic Chatter in the race so I wouldn't be going in too hard. 7:30 Windsor  -I'm hoping that Breccbannach tries to go from the front along with Amadeus Wolfe Tone because if it didn't the latter could get an uncontested lead and save something for the finish. However, I'm going to stick with DESERT COMMAND 5/1 as the selection. As usual, please check the going before you bet if its on the soft side its no bets.

WAFFLE 16/1 UNP
DESERT COMMAND 2/1 UNP
