3:50 Thirsk Racing Tips (29th August) THEAKSTON LIGHTFOOT HANDICAP (CLASS 3) (3yo+ 0-90)

Eighteen runners - a decent class three race. Five horses have been known to lead: Rodrigo De Torres, who is my fifth top rated, Hadaj and Can You Congo, who have both only returned slow times and the two bottom weights, Cruise Tothelimit and Sacrosanctus, who both might be outclassed here. We were a bit unlucky last time out with CHOOSEDAY 9/1, who was on the wrong side of the course when finishing third at 33/1. This horse has a decent win chance

2:30 Sandown - There are eight runners here and the most likely leader is Pucon, who comes out fourth on my figures. Third top is Macdillon, but this one needs good to firm going which I doubt it will get in this race. Second top is Waseem Faris who can either track the leaders or be held up, whilst my top rated INDIAN TINKER 7/2 likes to chase the leaders and won last time out on soft ground.

SUMMARY: 2:30 Sandown -If the goings is good or firmer tomorrow INDIAN TINKER 7/2 has three spots in hand which doesn't leave room for much error so I'd suggest keeping the stakes on the small side. 3:50 Thirsk - It's always hard to be very confident with this amount of runners plus, this is a very close handicap so I'd suggest a small ew bet on CHOOSEDAY at 9/1 but check the going first.

INDIAN TINKER 7/2 2ND
CHOOSEDAY 10/1 UNP
