3:10 Newmarket Winning Race Tips (1st November) BEN MARSHALL STAKES (LISTED RACE) (CLASS 1) (3yo+)

An eight runner Listed class race - not the usual sprint because there isn't any today. French Navy is usually held up but its times haven't been good enough to win. Ocean Tempest can deploy a varying range of tactics but even so its times aren't enough to make my top three. Baltic Knight likes to track the pace and can handle most types of going and must have place claims. Boom And Bust can either lead or track the leaders but it's another whose times are not quite good enough to feature in my top three. BRONZE ANGEL 9/4 is the top rated and is quite a few spots clear of the opposition and its usually either held-up or can track the leaders. I think its stable mate - Boom And Bust - might be deployed to make sure there's a good early pace. Emell likes to track the early pace but does need cut in the going to show its best and the going looked quite good today and no rain is forecast. Fire Ship is the other joint second top rated but it also likes cut in the ground to show its best and it hasn't been quite up to its best form lately. Linton is a hold-up type but its times have been the slowest in the field so I doubt it can win.

SUMMARY: I think that Boom And Bust is in the race to make sure BRONZE ANGEL 9/4 gets the fast pace it likes to have and show its superiority.

Bronze Angel 9/4 3rd
