Thirteen runners but only Al's Memory, who is my fourth top rated horse, has been known to lead before and it's not badly drawn in stall three. As I've said before, any horse that gets an uncontested lead can sometimes set a slightly slower pace and have enough in reserve to repel all finishers. Third top rated is the three-year-old Ashkari, which could still have improvement to come and fairly tight at the top of my ratings. Second top is Dominium, who is a proper hold-up type, and should have place claims if it gets a clear run at the business end of the race. Top ranked is STORM LIGHTNING 9/1. As you probably know they have recently relaid the surface at Wolverhampton and it hasn't settled fully yet so it's probably best to keep stakes to a minimum till the picture becomes clearer.
6:50 Wolverhampton - Once again thirteen runners with three horses that have led before: Zac Brown, Clearing & Royal Aquisition but none of them are in my top three ratings. Third ranked is Angelito; second top is Clear Praise - it's fairly close between these two horses - but top rated is *MONUMENTAL MAN 7/1 who has finished second on both of its last two runs on the grass. At a quarter the odds for a place it may be worth going each way as it is usually either held-up or it can track the front runners so may need a bit of luck to get a trouble free run to the line.
There is another sprint at York 2.30 but the going there is soft so I wont be betting.
