This is a very low class seven sprint and you can't get any worse. Ten runners with only two of them ever producing a time good enough to register on my figures. Two known front runners: Warm Order, a three-year-old but it doesn't look like the trainer has much faith in it improving dropping it to this level. My second top rated is Mossgo, who can track the leaders or be held up - time will tell. The top rated is VOLCANIC DUST 12/1 who is also the other possible front runner. If it gets to the front it could at least hold on for a place if not the win so at the odds it may be worth a small each-way bet.
4:50 Kempton - Down to eight runners here, the minimum for an each way bet. Half of the field have been known to lead before so this could be a fast run race. With this few runners the draw may make very little difference. Captain Secret, Viva Verglas and Elusivity are three of the possible leaders but none of them are near the top of my list. There are a few hidden dangers in the race so it's not a contest to go mad. I've got joint top rated with Even Stevens, who is the fourth known possible leader but he's capable of employing any type of running style. The stable has been out of form which makes me swing in favour of SLEEPY SIOUX 6/1 who can chase the leaders or be held up. If its frantic at the front it could be the one to profit if many vie for the lead.
SUMMARY: 4:20 Kempton is class seven so consistency isn't going to a given but a small each-way bet at 12/1 VOLCANIC DUST may pay dividends. 4:50 Kempton - I have to go with my top rated - as usual - but it is a race where there could be a few hidden dangers. However, top rated is always the selection so another small bet only on SLEEPY SIOUX 6/1.
