There is no sprints today, Monday, so I'm going to try and solve the last race of the day over eight-and-a-half furlongs. This is a class five race with ten of the runners either being a three-year-old or a four-year-old but most have at least tried this trip before so there is some form to work with but not as much as usual. I think the most likely leader will be Venutius but its form doesn't look good enough for it to stay there but never say never if it gets an easy lead. There are a few others that must have some sort of chance: Almanack, Memoria, Loraine & Gambino but I think that Leonard Thomas could be the biggest threat if it can transfer its best Lingfield form over eight-furlongs to this course. My top rated is SHAMAHEART 10/1 and most of its form has been over seven-furlongs and its time in two races here over the shorter distance are well above anything else's times and if it can be held up and come stay on at the finish it must have a chance here and at the price I'm prepared to go for a small each way bet.
