50 Wolverhampton Winning Race Tips (5th January) 32RED FILLIES´ HANDICAP (Tapeta) (CLASS 5) (4yo+ 0-70)

> Queen Aggie is ranked either two or four depending whether you count the apprentice's allowance off but I think this trip is a touch short for it to show its absolute best. However, it will be staying on at the finish and could make the frame. If a fast-run race, its stamina could come into play.

> Oasis Spirit hasn't any recent form over this course since they altered the surface but it's another who would probably prefer a longer trip but may not be able to get involved here.

> Amosite is quite a versatile horse in how it can be ridden but with two confirmed front runners it might not be able to lead, plus it might be better over five furlongs.

> Mayfield Girl can be held up or track the leaders. It looks a better horse over five-furlongs and hasn't got a fast enough time over this sixth furlong to make my top five.

> Medam is either third or fourth on my figures and can be held up or track the leaders but it may find things happening a bit too quickly for it early on and may be staying on at the finish.

> Elhaam is one of two possible front runners but its overall times have been quite slow so its not in my top five ratings.

> Chookies Lass is the other possible front runner and its also my top rated horse. If it gets to the front it should be very hard to catch. The trainer, Keith Dalgleish, has a 19% win rate at this course with his older horses and shows a level stakes profit and when Joe Fanning rides (he also has a 19% win rate with another level stakes profit) so the statistics look favourable.

> Jolly Red Jeanz comes out second or third on my figures but I'm still confident it's even better on a slower surface. It likes to track the leaders so should be involved in the finish if it runs to its best.

> Mop's Angel may find this trip too short so show its best but it does like to track the leaders. It might be outpaced till its stamina comes into play.

> Saffire Song hasn't any form on this faster surface here but hasn't shown enough for it to be of concern. It does like to be up with the pace if it's quick enough to stay with them.

> Milly's Secret is fifth on my figures but it's quite a few spots behind the top four ratings and with it most probably enjoying a longer trip I think it will be outpaced and struggle to get to the leaders.

SUMMARY: It's only a class five race but I do have CHOOKIES LASS 10/1 clear with a few spots in hand of the rest. It could attempt to lead all the way and if it gets to the front should be very hard to catch. The jockey booking looks a plus. Worth an each-way bet.

Chookies Lass 10/1 Unp
