Division one of a class six five-furlong sprint. This division has ten runners of which only five have recorded a time on my charts but it is a relatively new surface on the track. There's only Warm Order that has been known to lead before and its been drawn in stall one so I guess that will be its tactics here and also it's my second top rated so it might be that not many get involved. There's less than one length in times between this horse and top rated CHINA EXCELS 15/2 who is usually a hold-up type. I'm always wary when a horse can get an uncontested lead [because a horse can then set its own pace and have plenty in the tank for the finish] so I'd suggest backing the selection and have a covering bet on WARM ORDER.
3:55 Wolverhampton - Only nine runners in this division. The most likely leader is Spic N Span, drawn in stall two, but both Quality Art and Hellolini have been known to lead but both can also change their tactics when required. Spic N Span is my second top rated and that's why I think it's the most likely leader. If it gets an uncontested lead it could go very well here, if not winning. The top rated is TWO TURTLE DOVES 14/1 who has run some good races here and in fast times but has never won on an all-weather track. Perhaps connections are hoping for a change in this horse's luck. I would go with an each-way bet on the selection and a cover bet on Spic n Span.
SUMMARY: Two tricky divisions. I'm going with two bets in both races. 3:25 Wolverhampton - go with CHINA EXCELS 15/2 and a covering bet on WARM ORDER 6/1. 3:55 Wolverhampton - go each-way on TWO TURTLE DOVES 14/1 with another each-way bet on SPIC N SPAN 14/1.
