4:30 Kempton Winning Race Tips (21st January) KEMPTON.CO.UK HANDICAP (CLASS 7) (4yo+ 0-50)

1-Trending may find this distance a bit too far so will have to be held up to try and get the trip but its had sixteen previous races on the all-weather without winning and I can't see that statistic changing too much after this race even if it is the lowest grade possible and it tried this grade last time out over this distance at Wolverhampton where it finished third and has shown better form at that than here.

2-Littlecote Lady is a course and distance winner in a class six race so this should be a little bit easier but obviously the weights are adjusted according to ability but its best run was when third behind Commandingpresence and a reproduction of that time would win this race. It has a good draw to be able to get an early position and finish the stronger.

3-Encapsulated comes out fourth best on my ratings but when today's claimer rides for the yard it doesn't give me any extra confidence as he's had 47 rides without a win.

4-Doctor Hilary is now thirteen years old and it hasn't shown much form lately and I doubt it will spring back to form here or anywhere else at that age.

5-Island Express is my fifth top rated but its had thirty runs on the all-weather without winning so its not on my short list to win but I guess it might get placed if others fail to run to their best.

6-Fleeting Indian is one of two possible leaders in this race but it's a six year old whose only had eighteen runs but it's not made the first two finishers yet and hasn't got a recorded time from anywhere so I doubt it can win here.

7-Rightcar is a hold-up horse who comes out third on my figures so should have a place claim if it gets a clear run but it seems to only be able to win one race a year and I don't think it will be this one but it could have place claims.

8-Forceful Beacon has only recorded slow times and is usually held up or tracks the leaders and its recent form doesn't inspire any confidence.

9-Quantum Dot is my second best rated but is a few spots behind the selection is drawn in stall two so could, maybe, get a decent early position but the jockey has ridden four times before without winning but it could have place claims.

10-Twilight Angel recorded a time at Lingfield which would put it sixth on my list but it's the second horse that could possibly try to lead but is drawn in stall twelve but this is a seven year old who has only had nine runs and still a maiden.

11-Sweet Piccolo is a maiden after ten runs and its recent form is quite poor so I doubt it will be involved even in this lowly class.

12-Studfarmer has had ten all-weather runs without winning and they have tried a very varied range of distances looking for something to work with but to no avail as of yet.

SUMMARY: A very low class seven race so consistency is not very relevant but the LITTLECOTE LADY 10/1 has won before and I remember one race where it finished fifth and it wasn't given a good ride but today its got a good jockey aboard and likes the distance, I will be very surprised if it's not in the frame and it could win quite easily if it runs to its best time but at the odds I have to suggest a small each-way bet.

Littlecote Lady 10/1 3rd
