Twelve runners in a poor class six race. Only four have run fast enough to register on my figures and there's only one known front runner. My fourth rated is Dandy Perier, who is just one spot behind my third top rated Island Express but they are quite a few spots behind my top two rated who also have only one spot between them. Catalinas Diamond is second best, who can either be held-up or track the leaders and is drawn in stall two, so should be able to get a good early position. Top rated by one spot, and also the only known front runner in the race, is WAABEL who from stall four should be able to get to the front and hopefully the jockey gets the pace right to hold them all at bay.
4:05 Lingfield -
1>Masamah may prefer a slower surface but is versatile with its running style including leading and has been drawn in stall five.
2>Boom The Groom is another possible leader and has the prime draw in stall one but most of its form has been over six furlongs but could be a slightly hidden danger if it doesn't get outpaced early.
3>Smoothtalkinrascal recorded a very fast time at this distance on good to firm ground on grass so could like this course and could be a danger from stall two.
4>Royal Bajan the third possible front runner and from stall three, so it could be fast near the rail early doors but it only comes out fifth on my ratings for this course.
5>Megaleka is my fourth top rated and usually likes to track the leaders but I'm not sure if stall four is ideal with the make up of this race.
6>Doctor Parkes hasnt done enough for me to consider it as of interest here and I expect it will be one of the outsiders.
7>Diamond Charlie iss the fourth and final known possible leaders and has got the widest draw but is my second top rated and should go well as long as its not taken too wide.
8>Muhdiq may prefer a slower surface but it still comes out third top and usually tracks the leaders.
9>Picansort can either be held up or track the leaders and is well weighted enough to become the top rated, whether its quite classy enough to win in this grade I'm not sure but is capable of making the frame so has each way chances if the price is big enough.
10>Dynamo Walt hasn't got a form on this course to work with but its done nothing to make me think it could win here.
5:15 Lingfield - Eight runners with half the field being known to lead before so it could be a fast run race for the class and my top two ratings are both possible leaders. Third top rated is Argent Touch but it might be even better on a slower surface, second top is Quality Art who won its last two races but at Wolverhampton but has been drawn in stall one so ideal to try to lead all the way but top rated is MOSSGO who's stable has hit form this month with four winners from fourteen races and ought to be up with the early pace but can just sit behind the leaders if it needs to.
SUMMARY:2:20 Lingfield - WAABEL 10/1 can lead all the way but it's a poor race and stakes should be kept to a minimum and I wouldn't put anyone backing Catalina's Diamond as a cover bet but it's a fair bit shorter in price than I thought and although it's capable of running a big race it offers no value in my opinion. 4:05 Lingfield - PICANSORT 16/1 could have place claims and at the price I will suggest an each-way bet but I'm not completely sure whether its class enough to win but I'm not saying it cant either so again suggest to keep stakes low. 5:15 Lingfield - MOSSGO 9/2 can either lead or track the leaders and is drawn in stall six with other front runners being in stall one, five and eight, so if the pace is too quick up front it can hopefully get a good early position and finish the stronger but once again keep stakes low.
Waabel 10/1 4th
Picansort 16/1 6th
Mossgo 9/2 1st
