> Oriental Relation won last time out over this distance but at Chelmsford and recorded a fast time but that course, although it has the same surface is running quite fast, its best recorded time at this course only makes it seventh best even though its very versatile with its running style which includes leading and has drawn the stall nearest to the rail of all the front runners and your never quite sure what a horse might do if it gets its own way ahead of the field but its not for me.
> Marjong ran quite well in its last two runs over this distance at Lingfield and is my fifth top rated so while its in form it could possibly make the frame but its a big if from the widest draw and would need others to under perform for it to make the frame.
> Jubilee Brig likes to track the leaders and is well drawn in stall two to do exactly that but its only sixth top rated it has finished third on both of its last two runs so once again could possibly have place claims but I will be leaving it alone.
> The Dandy Yank won at Chelmsford over this trip two runs ago and then last time out was dropped in trip at Southwell and that probably didn't suit it but isn't in my top eight.
> Inka Surprise usually likes to track the early pace and hasn't been badly drawn in stall four but its two runs over course and distance have been poor.
> Desert Strike can lead or chase the leaders but has got stall eleven to overcome, none of the four possible leaders have been drawn too well with the nearest to the rail having stall six but this one is my fourth top rated so could make the frame.
> New Leyf has won its last two races both over this course and distance and recording its fastest time last time out but that's only good enough for second top on my figures but looks like it should be thereabouts again here.
> Stellarta can either be held up or track the leaders and has got a decent draw in stall three to get a good early position and being my top rated can hopefully come home strongly and could win and have decent place claims.
> Ask The Guru another of the four possible front runners drawn in stall nine but it has only produced slow times at the distance because this trip is stretching its stamina.
> Supersta the last of the four possible leaders drawn in stall eight but I think this horse either doesn't like this surface or the distance is too short but either way its not on my list of possible winners.
> For Ayman is only eighth on my figures and may prefer a slower surface to show its best form.
> Jolly Red Jeanz is my third top rated and likes to track the early pace, it ran behind New Leyf last time out, beaten two lengths but eight pounds better off this time so should turn the form around if it wasn't for the fact New leyf is now being ridden by a seven pound claiming apprentice.
SUMMARY: This looks a decent race for the class, the early pace looks to be from stall six outwards so if the selection STELLARTA 8/1 can get a good position early on from stall three it should have every chance to come home the stronger in this race or at least at the price make the frame which is just enough to be given as an each way bet.
