—Castorienta hasn't run at this course before and has a slow time at Lingfield at the trip so may prefer a slower surface to show its best.
—New Leyf is second top rated and can be either held up, or as is more likely from this draw, track the leader from stall three.
—Speed The Plough may need the run after a break and its form before the break had taken a downturn so even though it could get its own way in front I doubt it will be good enough to win.
—Only Ten Per Cent was second last time out but well beaten by eight lengths and that might have flattered its chances here even though it is my third top rated so could make the frame again.
—Gung Ho Jack usually likes to track the leaders but is only fifth on my figures.
—Prince Regal hasn't any form at this course and distance and relatively slow Lingfield time so needs to improve to win here.
—Lupo D'Oro is surprisingly fourth on my figures due to the fact that its a better horse over the shorter distance but can be held up to try and get the distance.
—Archie Stevens is another without any form at this course and distance and usually tracks the leaders but not for me here.
—New Rich is a hold up type and is so well weighted its my top rated but the draw, stall nine, hasn't been kind but if it gets a good early position it could come home strongly to land the spoils.
SUMMARY: With just the one known front running horse it could be a hard race to analyse very easily but as usual I'm sticking with the top rated and will have to rely on NEW RICH 12/1 getting a good early position or a clear run without being taken too wide from its stall nine berth and the stable have employed the jockey who rode it last time it won. And at the price it has to be given as an each way bet.
