5:40 Thirsk Winning Tips Racing (18th April) THIRSK RACES NEXT SATURDAY 2ND MAY HANDICAP (Div I) (CLASS 5)

First division of this class five race with three horses that have been known to lead before, Percy's Gal and Le Laitier haven't produced a time of any significance from the front before so I doubt that will change here. Manatee Bay is my third top rated and Another Royal my second top and both can either be held up or track the leaders, the top spot goes to the bottom weight RODRIGO DE TORRES 6/1 who is the third horse that has been known to lead before and if this one gets to the front will be hard to catch.

6:10 Wolverhampton - Not usually a race I would bother with but if the top rated also has a good jockey on board, which isn't always the case in an amateur riders race. My original top rated was Secret Millionaire but the jockey who claims five pounds has ridden sixteen times before for the stable without a win so I add the claim, five pounds , to its rating which moves it down to third. My new top rated is now KERBAAJ 12/1 who is ridden by one of the top amateur ladies in Sarah Brotherton and my second top rated, Whipphound is ridden by one of the top amateur men riders in Simon Walker. So I'm going to suggest going each way on the selection at this price and take the price with a firm the offers the “best odds guaranteed” I did think it would be shorter.

6:15 Thirsk - The second division looks the weaker of the two with my top rated here over ten pounds below the top rated in the first division, both Feel The Heat and Eland Ally could lead if nothing else wanted to but I don't think they will need to here. Bashiba is my third top rated while Meandmyshadow is the most likely pace setter and is also my second top rated so with an uncontested lead could be hard to catch but the top rated is CLUBLAND 4/1 who usually likes to track the front runners and stay on at the finish and the stable have employed Keiran Fallon to ride for the first time for them which I think is reflected in the shortness of the price.

7:25 Nottingham - A poor class six race and only the top three horses have recorded a time fast enough to enter at the bottom of my graphs and consistency isn't a word associated with any of these, Mr Mo Jo is my third top rated while Roy's Legacy is second top but this stable has been well out of form recently but this jockey has done well for the stable so a bit of a mixed bag of statistics so I cant write this one off too easily, the top rated goes to TWO TURTLE DOVES 20/1 who can be held up or track the leaders and I think it might have to be held up today because there's six horses in the race that have led before and Roy's Legacy is one of those six and its my second top rated so it could be a fast run race for the class and I'm hoping they might go a little too fast up front and the selection stays on for the prize but as usual at the price it has to be given as an each way bet.

Rodrigo De Torres 6/1 3rd
Kerbaaj 12/1 Unp
Clubland 4/1 1st
Two Turtle Dove 20/1 5th
