6:50 Wolverhampton Winning Race Tips (11th April) BET TOTEQUADPOT HANDICAP (Tapeta) (CLASS 5) (4yo+ 0-75)

1—Shingle hasn't got any form on this surface but has been known to either lead or track the leaders so could be a bit of a hidden danger but with four other possible front runners being drawn in stall nine isn't going to help its cause but it cant be dismissed lightly.

2—About Turn has got poor recent form and may also find this trip a bit too short.

3—Saint Pois has come over from France quite recently and has only had six runs over here and they must have rated the horse quite highly as they started off in class two races and have dropped it down again this time out into a class five race and has done a fast time in France on the all weather it has been known to lead before and has been lucky to get stall one.

4—Parisian Pyramid is another with no form from this course since the new surface was laid, it can either lead or track the leaders but I think it would prefer a slower surface.

5—Picks Pinta hasn't any form on Tapeta surface and can be held up or track the leaders and could be a bit of a hidden danger.

6—Vincentti is naught from nine attempts on the all weather but none of those were on this surface and another that can lead or track the leaders.

7—Clubland usually tracks the leaders and is my third top rated so could have place claims.

8—Verus Delicia can be held up or track the early pace but is only fifth on my figures.

9—Bogsnog has been racing mainly in class six races and may not be able to take on these better class horses even if the rise in class is quite small, the weights help its chances greatly but the jockey is naught from five rides for the yard which has been out of form lately but it could possibly make the frame and either leads or tracks the leaders but stall eight doesn't help its chances.

10—Red Cape is my fourth top rated and could make the frame if one of the top three don't run to their best.

SUMMARY:  I'm going with SAINT POIS 10/1 to win this race from the front but at the odds I'm going to say each way just in case something finds some sudden improvement, it has been dropped in class again and its first run in this country was its best so far when it was seventh behind the greatly improved horse Pretend which was also its only run on this surface and a reproduction of that run would be enough here, then add on the extras like being a possible front runner and getting the prime draw in stall one all give me confidence about its chances in this race.

2:45 Newcastle - I'm not sure if the going will be dry enough so not going to be too long winded about the race, my figures put MY NAME IS RIO 8/1 top of the pile with quite a few spots in hand of the rest, its best time came at Ayr which is a flat/level course but it has won at Pontefract which is undulating like Newcastle so I know it wont be beaten by the course. All I can say is check the going in the first two races before having a bet and of course if its soft-ish then no bet.

My Name Is Rio 8/1 Unp
