2:30 Newmarket Winning Race Tips (2nd May) PEARL BLOODSTOCK PALACE HOUSE STAKES (Group 3) (CLASS 1) (3yo+)

The group three class Palace House stakes race over five furlongs, I love these group races as long as the going ok for my selections, there's ten runners but only one known front runner, Pearl Secret is my third top rated but the horse hasn't produced another time anywhere near its best so until it proves otherwise I've marked it down as a one race wonder, second top is the ten year old Kingsgate Native who has been a grand servant to sprinting but it had to drop down to a class three handicap last season to get a win so maybe age has caught up with him and the rating ive got for him is too high to what hes now capable of, my top rated is STEPPER POINT 4/1 who also happens to be the only horse in the race known to lead and if it gets a relatively easy lead most of these will struggle to catch him and a reproduction of its best time it wins cosily.

3:25 Goodwood - This race is a very competitive class three handicap although there's twelve runners only Flashy Queen has been known to lead and it could be open to some improvement if it gets an uncontested lead so could be a bit of a hidden danger but I just don't think the horse is good enough to pull of the win but never say never, my fourth top rated is Doctor Parkes but its being ridden by a good five pound claiming apprentice and taking that off its figures and it moves to second spot,, Ladweb is now my fourth top rated and Long Awaited goes from second down to third but the allowances don't affect the top rated EXTRASOLAR 9/1 who is also ridden by a good five pound claiming apprentice, the thing with the selection it needs the going to be as firm as possible to show its best so i'll be watching an earlier race on the day to see what the goings like before deciding whether to bet or not.

4:00 Thirsk - A very competitive class four race with ten entered and three of them having been known to lead, Bondi Beach is my fifth top and I think Signore Piccolo prefers some cut in the ground, that leaves just Captaine Dunne as the most likely leader and this one is fourth on my list but take off the seven pounds the apprentice claims and it moves up to second spot, so quite a few of these wont figure in the race, Flash City and Oldjoesaid are my joint second top rated they both can track the leaders and the latter can also be held up if needs be but top spot is IMPERIAL LEGEND 20/1 who hasn't won a race since September 2013 and I don't know how many chances you should give a horse before discarding it, if the going stays good to firm it will have its favoured going plus in the right class of race, it is my top rated and quite a few of its races there have been viable reasons why its not been winning and always with the type of horse that runs in the middle of the pack getting a clear run isn't always easy, I'm sticking with my top rated but stakes should be done each way at the price but kept low.

7:15 Doncaster - Is a class three race with a field of fifteen runners but only two known front runners, Hoofalong did win in a good time over six and a half furlongs at this course which would have made it second best in my figures but it was in May 2013 and last season was poor and not anywhere near repeating that sort of time, so I will leave alone till it shows some improvement, Whozthecat is the other possible front runner and with the allowance taken off for the apprentice riding it moves from fifth to third on my figures so could have place claims, my second top rated is Rex Imperator who is a hold up type but the top spot goes to Desert Law who can also be held up or track the leaders but it has been out of form recently so I'm not sure enough to put it up as a selection, I would be thinking along the lines of backing the top three Desert Law 16/1—Rex Imperator 4/1—Whozthecat 9/1 so whichever wins you show a profit.

Stepper Point 4/1 4th
Extrasolar 9/1 Unp
Imperial Legend 20/1 2nd
