3:00 Lingfield Winning race Tips (8th May) HICKSTEAD SHOW GROUND HANDICAP (CLASS 3) (4yo+ 0-95)

Only seven runners which restricts my ideas to win only, Fine n Dandy could try to lead but maybe prefers some cut in the ground, and if there is cut then its no bet so it doesn't apply, Secret Missile is my fourth top rated and it usually tracks the leaders but its got a seven pound claiming apprentice on board which could potentially move it into second top, my third top rated is It Must Be Faith who also likes to track the leaders, second spot goes to the other likely leader, Judge n Jury so it will hopefully be a fast run race which will play into the hands of the top rated finisher EXTRASOLAR 11/2 this horse ran last Saturday but missed the kick and never really had a run so was entered again Tuesday but the going turned soft so it was withdrawn, so I expect it will only run here if the going is good or firmer and the stable has been in very good form this month.

5:15 Nottingham - This is a seventeen runner apprentice jockeys handicap and a very poor class six race as well, so automatically stakes are going to be low, I've got three horses marked down as possible front runners and they are nearly drawn across all the course in stalls four, seven and eleven, if any of these get an uncontested lead they could quite easily improve the few pounds needed to win this race, my top rated CONSISTANT 20/1 is drawn quite high in stall sixteen and I think the high numbers have been known to have a slight advantage so just a small bet and at the price I have to suggest an each way bet.

7:05 Ripon - Eight runners in this race with Pennine Warrior as a known front runner in the field and both Kommander Ketchup and Dutch Breeze being able to lead but only usually if nothing else wants to take the role of pacemaker, so with three possible leaders it will hopefully be a fast run race for its class and it plays into the hands off the hold up types, my second top rated is Clubland and this one usually likes to track the leaders so this will hopefully push those in front to go a little bit faster and play into the hands of the top rated MISSISSIPPI 100/30 who can track the leaders but if they go off too fast it can also be held up and whichever it chooses it could stay on at the finish for the victory.

7:10 ASCOT - Fourteen runners in a nice class three race but only two known possible leaders but neither are in my top five, Mr Win is my fourth top rated and can be held up or track the leaders, I've got joint second top rated with Fear Or Favour who normally tracks the leaders and Major Jack who can deploy the same tactics or be held up, the top rated is TRIPLE CHOCOLATE 16/1 who also can either be held up or track the early pace and will hopefully stay on the strongest and there's nothing in the stable statistics to say it wont be a trier and at the price has to be given as an each way bet.

SUMMARY: I've not got anything to add about each individual race but thought I would emphasise my thoughts about the going before a selection becomes a bet. Four races from four different courses, I've read the going reports and most say at the moment good and good to soft in places, I'm hoping it might dry out enough for my horses to become bets but I cant help anymore than saying you will have to keep an eye on the going, I hope the goings good enough for my selections to be valid as I like it when I've got some big priced selections.
