2:30 Ayr Winning Race Tips (27th July) RACING UK MOBILE MEDIAN AUCTION MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 5) (2yo)

*No bet - all tips today - soft ground.

A class five race with eleven runners and with Doc Charm and Rock Canyon who could lead if nothing else wanted to but Alhella looks a more natural front runner but nearly all the times are quite poor but this one could improve if it gets an uncontested lead especially as its only a three year old but LOTHAIR 12/1 did a time at Hamilton in 2014 which would be good enough to win this but hasn't been anywhere near that time since but I cant discount it too easily its a gamble on it coming back to form but this is a drop in class for it and also they have employed Joe Fanning who has ridden seven winners from twenty rides for the stable and four from sixteen with older horses which all points to the stable expecting a big run and hopefully the price will be big enough to warrant taking the chance and at the price it has to be an each way bet if the going permits.

3:00 Ayr - This is a very poor class six race with only two of them having recorded a time to register on my figures and they were in 2014 and I'm not totally convinced either of them can repeat their best but there's nothing else to work with but stakes have to be kept low, Chookies Lass is the only known front runner in the field of ten runners so could be a danger if getting an uncontested lead and may still have some improvement to come, SECRET MILLIONAIRE 14/1 is my second top rated but this horse has dropped in class recently from class four to this level so carrying top weight against lesser horses could revitalise it and maybe worth including at the price and big enough to go for an each way bet, top rated is BUSY BIMBO 6/1 who did its best in 2014 and repeated it but although its been placed recently all those races were slow run affairs, I'm suggesting backing both to small stakes to make a profit whichever wins.

7:00 Windsor - Nine runners in a class four race with two confirmed front runners in Barbs Princess and Paint The Star a three year old who is also my second top rated, Quite A Story another three year old is my second top rated and of course both of the three year olds could be open to more improvement but my top rated is LEAD A MERRY DANCE 7/1 a four year old from the Sylvester Kirk stable who this season has been in the frame and with two wins in all of its races but with the possible three year olds improving any stakes have to be low and I would also maybe back all three if the odds permit, if not put enough on the two three year olds to cover any losses on the others.

P.S. I know ive said it before make as sure as possible as you can that the going is good or firmer before placing a bet, a little like today (Sunday) it rained quite heavvily during the meeting at Pontefract and by the time I watched the 4.00 race the going was definitely on the soft side so I didnt bet and the selections ran poorly, it is hard to give the final selections the night before racing.

No bets - Soft ground
