3:10 Newbury Winning Race Tips (18th July) AL BASTI EQUIWORLD HACKWOOD STAKES (Group 3) (CLASS 1) (3yo+)

A group three race and only six runners which is very poor and I cant see beyond PORTAMENTO 9/4 a three year old who won last time out in a fast time at Chester and could still have more improvement to come, that day it was held up because of other front runners in the field and he wasn't housed well in stall six of the eight runners, this horse has been known to lead before and in this race none of the other five have been known to lead so it could be able to dictate the pace from the front and have enough to repel all challengers, I'm writing this Thursday afternoon and I expect it will be the favourite and for the prize money of over thirty thousand pounds I'm fairly sure it will be a trier and I will be surprised if it gets beaten.

3:25 Newmarket - Class three race but only seven runners without a known front runner in the field, I've narrowed it down to two horses who both recorded their best times last time out and I'm suggesting backing both SECRET HINT 11/2 and EXPENSIVE DATE 11/2 to show a profit whichever one wins, if pushed I would probably side with the three year old from Paul Cole's yard but I cant split them as they have identical figures.

5:35 Ripon - Not a great race but there are eight three year olds in a field of twelve runners so there could be some hidden dangers lurking around so stakes have to be kept low but im going to side with one of those three year olds DIATOMIC 4/1 who has shown some form and times but is still a maiden after fifteen runs which tempers most of my enthusiasm but could be worth the risk if its an each way price.

6:50 Haydock -  Eleven runners here with four possible known front runners which includes my fifth, fourth and top rated so I expect it to be a fast run race, Spring Bird is fifth top, Loumarin fourth top, then I've got the two bottom weights Busy Bimbo and Two Turtle Doves as joint second top but top spot goes to the front running IRISH GIRLS SPIRIT 6/1 and I'm hoping it doesn't get too involved in trying to lead if they do go off too fast early but it is the fastest horse in the race on its day so there's always some degree of hope and it only ran Thursday so they are hopefully running it again quickly expecting it go very well here.

Portamento 9/4 2nd
Secret Hint 11/2 2nd
Expensive Date 11/2 4th
Diatomic 5/1 2nd
Irish Girl's Spirit 6/1 2nd
