5:10 Nottingham (30th July) Winning Race Tips LADIES DAY ON FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST HANDICAP (CLASS 5) (3yo+ 0-75)

1— POINT NORTH if this is the best horse in the race then the rest must be poor as this horse hasn't recorded a fast enough time to register on my figures over either sprint distance and I think it might prefer a slower surface and also a longer distance so not on my list as the likely winner.

2— MARGRET'S GIFT also hasn't recorded a fast enough time to register on my figures and this one also might prefer a slower surface so not on my list as the winner.

3— OSCARS JOURNEY recorded a fast time at Windsor on good to firm ground last year and did a reasonable time last time out when fourth but it does seem that it needs genuine good to firm or firmer going to show its best.

4— BY RIGHTS hasn't recorded any fast enough times and also looks like it prefers a slower surface to show its best and this one just like the previous five usually likes to race just behind the leaders early in the race.

5— THE WISPE is a three year old who seems to be progressing along nicely but without winning, its recorded a couple of decent times at Windsor and Salisbury and once as a two year old it even tried to lead all the way but finished second, if it decides to lead here and gets an uncontested or easy lead it could be very hard to catch.

6— BOROUGH BOY looks like it might find this trip too short and well may get outpaced early on in the race and I doubt that this one will be involved in the finish unless they have a change of tactics and try to use the horses stamina and attempt to lead all the way but I'm not convinced its got the speed to beat these from the front.

7— DARING DRAGON I'm fairly sure this distance I too short for this horse and it might not even be a sprinter as seven furlongs or more look more suitable and I doubt it would be fast enough to change its tactics and attempt to lead so it's not on my potential winner list.

SUMMARY: The only older aged horses sprint for the day and then only seven runners so nothing to get excited about as most of them seem very mediocre even for the class of race. Ive only got two horses that have recorded a fast enough time to register on my graphs. Oscars Journey recorded a fast time at Windsor whether that was a one off I'm not quite sure but it hasnt repeated it so far but did record a registered time at Leicester last time out but just like before it was when it was behind in a fast run race and some of its other times dont boost confidence in its chances. Top rated is THE WISPE 6/1 who has also recorded its two best times when behind in fast run races but were both this year also being a three year old it could have some improvement still to come and I think its got a very good chance to attempt to lead all the way here and if getting to the front and setting the right pace could hold something in reserve to hold on for the win.

The Wispe - No be - Soft going
