15 Newmarket Winning Race Tips (15th Aug) BETWAY GREY HORSE HANDICAP (for Grey Horses Only) (CLASS 4) (3yo+ 0-85)

A class four race with seventeen runners so some luck will be needed to win, there's only three horses that have been known to lead before but are not in my top six, my top four have shown that they are capable of repeating their best times and fourth top is Crew Cut who normally likes to track the leaders, third top is Iseemist who has the same style of racing but is being ridden by a five pound claiming apprentice which would move it into second place except my second top is top weight STEVE PRESCOTT 11/2 who won for me last time out at this course and distance but is also being ridden by an apprentice but only a three pound claimer but that's enough to move it to joint top rated, my top rated is *LIGHT FROM MARS 16/1 and this one also has an apprentice on board which would move it clear again but its quite complex so I think I will do both of the horses that could be top rated, stakes im afraid have to be kept on the low side and of course its an each way bet at the price of the latter horse. *NR

00 Ripon - A twenty runner race and very very hard to be very confident of anything, I've only got three of them marked down as possible front runners and they are spread across the course in stalls two eight and twenty, I've got Rex Imperator as my fourth top rated and Gramercy as my third top and im fairly confident of these two being able to reproduce their best times, I've got Searchlight as my second top rated but it might struggle to deliver its best again and cope with the higher class race, the top rated is SINGEUR 20/1 from its times in 2014 and although it has had a few places and a win this year the times haven't been as fast but it is the fastest in the race on its day so must have some chance even though I think any stakes have to be kept low and an each way wager. [No bet - Soft going]

30 Ripon - The Great St Wilfrid handicap and the second race with twenty runners and this race is even harder to solve than the previous race of the three possible front runners I've got SHORE STEP 12/1 down as my fourth top rated but there is only two pounds between the top four, in fact I've got joint second top rated with FAST TRACK 10/1 and BARNET FAIR 16/1 but my top rated is LEXIS HERO 25/1 but this one does have a three pound claiming apprentice on board to help its cause but it is another race where any stakes would be on the low side and all as expected are big enough for each way bets. [No bet - Soft going]

55 Doncaster - A very nice class three race with eighteen runners, so a horse will may need a degree of luck to win this and I've got eight of them noted as possible leaders so it could be a fast frantic race, I've got Captain Dunne down as my fourth top rated and a possible leader and looks to be well drawn in stall sixteen and it is likely to repeat its best if the going stays good or firmer, I've got joint second top rated horses in SMART DAISY K 33/1 who likes to track the early pace and its drawn in stall nine so can choose which side to go and im expecting it to be able to repeat its best again, the other second top rated is PEARL ACCLAIM 20/1 who also has proven its capability to repeat its best again this year but my top rated INNOCENTLY 16/1 who recorded its best time at Ripon last year and has had three runs this year but its last two runs can be ignored as it looks a better horse on good to firm ground, I cant split the three as I've got one pound between them but should be able to back all three to show a profit but its a hard race so stakes should be kept low and each way at the prices.

00 Lingfield - A slightly poor class five apprentices race with eleven participants but only Putin has been known to lead and if it does get an uncontested lead it could improve its chances and it could maybe make the frame but its not one of my two ratings, second top is Monsieur Jamie who may prefer a slower surface but my top spot is HARWOOD'S STAR 10/1 who may prefer further so im hoping its a fast early pace which does very often happen with these apprentice races but the selection has had thirteen runs on grass without winning so any stakes have to be minimal, if its an each price I will be happy to take a chance. [Soft ground - No bet]
