30 Salisbury Winning Race Tips (4th August) FREDERICK PITMAN MEMORIAL HANDICAP (CLASS 5) (3yo+ 0-75)

I've got the three-year-old, Lightning Charlie, marked down as a possible hidden danger and it could be the only front runner in the field which would help its chances but would have to improve quite a lot to win this but it is slightly feasible. Noverre To Go is in third place on my list from a time recorded at Brighton in 2014, second choice is DISHY GURU 8/1 who is actually joint top rated but this race might not be run to suit it as could be staying on well at the finish and may be even better over a longer trip but if they don't go a fast early gallop he might just be a bit out paced at the finish but if it is a fast run race it would be in its element so cannot be dismissed from my final analysis, the other joint top is LUCKY DI 6/1 from a stable that did well in July with its horses and it won two runs ago but was beaten last time out when trying seven furlongs so that run can be discarded but this one wouldn't want the going to be too firm and maybe good ground is its best surface.

15 Catterick - What a very poor class six race of twelve runners and four known possible leaders, Sartori, Sir Geoffrey, Sunrise Dance and Go Charlie but none of them have done a time good enough to register on my graphs, the only horse that has is the top weight CAMMANCHE GREY 6/1 who won last time Rout in a selling race but this doesn't look any better and its the only horse I can give any positives about so has to be the selection but any stakes would have to be kept low because of the poor consistency of the runners.

45 Catterick - Another poor race but class five this time two possible front runners in Armelle and Take The Lead but there's only the top weight LAYLA'S HERO 8/1 again who has recorded a time fast enough to register on my charts, this one did its best time at Hamilton in 2014 on good to firm going and that's perhaps the going it needs to show its best nowadays but with so many inconsistencies any stakes have to be kept very low again.

35 Ripon - Twelve runners in a nice looking class three race where half the field have been known to lead before and two of them are in my top three ratings, fourth top but only by one pound is Inxile who usually likes to track the leaders, I've got joint second top rated horses with Ladweb who also likes to track the leaders the other joint second top rated is Lexington Place who has been known to lead but only usually if nothing else wants to so probably wont try to lead here, my top rated is NOBLE STORM 14/1 who can either lead or track the leaders, its ran some better races this year than the bare figures look and if it came back to form here I've got it a few spots ahead, it dropped to this class last time out when it only faded into third inside the final half furlong carrying four pounds more than it has here so hopefully that will be enough to see it stay in front to the line or at the price at least stay long enough to get placed for an each way bet to show a profit.

20 Chelmsford - Class four on the all weather and of the eight runners three have been known to lead before and they are in my four, Elis Eliz is fourth top and BERTIE BLU BOY 5/2 is third top but is being ridden by a seven pound claimer which would move it to top spot, Arctic Lynx is second top rated and the one that could prosper if they go too fast in front and play into its hands, the original top spot goes to DESERT STRIKE 9/1 who can lead but is quite versatile with its running style and I would be giving both as selections to show a profit whichever one does the business.
