The only known front runner in the field is Swendab who won last time out and im not sure it will be able to win again carrying its penalty but it could possibly steal the race from the front but I think it will be the favourite so im looking to take it on firstly with PANDAR 20/1 who did the best time of any of these at Chester last year and hasn't been in that sort of form recently but these low class horses have been known to spring back into form without warning, secondly im going to suggest LUCKY CLOVER 7/2 who has been in reasonable form lately and is quite likely to be able to repeat its best again, hoping these two will give a good chance of making a profit.
4:10 Pontefract - Nine runners with two known possible pace setters, Half A Billion has been known to lead but that was over six furlongs so im not sure it will be fast enough to lead in this race, Imperial Legend is my third top rated and usually likes to track the leaders, RUBY'S DAY 11/2 is the second possible leader and my second top rated so could possibly get an easy lead and would then be quite hard to catch and on my figures only NOODLES BLUE BOY 12/1 has a time slightly better but how the race pans out means I've cant split the two so backing both to show a profit could be the way to go.
5:10 Pontefract - An intriguing class four race over six furlongs with ten runners and only the one known front runner in the three year old Secret Glance who could improve with time and as always a danger if getting an uncontested lead, I've got excuses or reasons why I think most of the field cant win but I've got the top weighted JAMESBOS GIRL 9/1 as my top rated and this one has regularly been contesting class three and even the odd class two race, so its now dropped to being the top rated against inferior horses so if a trier must have a decent chance of winning here.
5:50 Newcastle - Only nine runners but with four of them having been known to lead before it could be a fast run race which should suit my selection who likes to chase a fast pace and stay on strongly at the finish as the front runners tire but the best of the front runners is Gowanharry who is my third top rated, second top is Ambitious Icarus who usually likes to track the leaders but might get squeezed out early from stall three as two of the front runners are in stall two and four, top spot goes to the bottom weight I'LL BE GOOD 8/1 who can track the leaders or be held up and should be staying on strongly at the finish, the only negative I can see is that the trainer hasn't had a winner from thirty four runners at the track in the last five years which does make me more cautious and stakes will kept to a lower level.
