2:20 Doncaster Winning Race Tips (7th Nov) BETFRED LOTTO £100K CASH GIVEAWAY WENTWORTH STAKES (Listed Race) (CLASS 1) (3yo+)

A Listed class race with fourteen runners but only Spring Fling having been known to lead before and it could improve with an uncontested lead, but it looks a hard task for it to hold off some of these seasoned sprinters. I've actually got three co-top rated horses and they are quite a few pounds ahead of the rest of the field, Lancelot Du Lac recorded its best time at Newmarket and can be held up or track the leaders but I'm not completely convinced its capable of repeating its best time again, so I'll be backing the other two to hopefully find the winner, both GOLDEN STEPS 14/1 and JACK DEXTER 8/1 are hold up types and I couldn't ask for more in terms of the draw as they have stalls thirteen and one respectively so I've got it covered if there's any bias to one side or the other, I know usually it favours the high draw and the possible leader is drawn in stall fourteen but who knows on the day but two each way bets means we don't lose money if just one of them makes the frame so that's the way I will be betting if the going is good or firmer.

5:40 Chelmsford - Quite a nice looking class four affairs with ten entrants and two that have been known to lead, Aldayha from stall five could be a bit of a hidden danger if it got to the front but I'm not completely sure of what its capable of but being a three-year-old it could still improve, Red Stripes my fourth top rated is best drawn stall three as a front runner, but it has got one of my joint top ratings on its inside so I hope they don't bump each other out of contention early on, Hoofalong is my third top rated and out of the way of the early skirmish stall seven, I've got SWISS CROSS 16/1 from stall nine and DOMINIUM 10/1 stall two, so both could maybe have problems, Swiss Cross needs to make sure it's not made to go too wide but hopefully has the class to get a good early position or a position where it can attack from further back, Dominion is on the inside of the horse that I think will lead so also needs to make sure it gets a good early position and it could follow the leader and grab the rail position just behind the leader on the rail, so I'll be doing both of them each way to win money whichever one does the business.

SUMMARY: More a word of warning about races at this course, Chelmsford, in the 4.35 on Friday the winner broke the course record but it was a class five race and the winner had an official rating of 65, so it shows how much it has to settle down before we can be very confident about any bets here, I will continue trying to monitor it and hopefully get a clearer picture in time but any bets in the meantime have to be kept to a minimum.
