—Jacobs Pillow likes to either track the leaders or actually lead, its my second top rated and has also got the prime draw in stall one so has every opportunity to grab control of the rails and if producing its best will be hard to catch and is obviously in form.
—Pennine Warrior may find this distance a little too far and may need to be held up to get the trip but its best time makes it outside my top six so not for me here.
—Borough Boy is very versatile with its racing tactics but wouldn't need to lead here especially from stall nine but I'm doubtful it can win this.
—Elusivity is my fifth top rated and another that may find this distance a bit too far and stalled between a few of probable pace makers so may not get a clear run.
—Razin Hell is another one of the possible front runners and has stall five which isn't the worst of things but will certainly have competition for the rails position by two horses drawn inside of it but is my third top rated and could make the frame with a bit of luck.
—Indian Affair is drawn in stall three and another possible leader but I've a feeling its not as good on this surface and time wise isn't in my top six so I'm leaving it out until it shows improved form on this surface.
—Fujin is my top rated and can be held up or track the early pace and from stall two may be able to get a good early position on the rails just behind the leader and then stay on the stronger and has got a top class jockey to help its cause.
—Colourbearer usually likes to track the leaders but has been drawn in stall ten, so what tactics will be employed im not sure but at its best its time is only good enough for fourth spot.
—Golden Spun is only a four year old so could still have some improvement to come, its got no course and distance form to look at, one piece of form at this distance on soft ground would make it look a possible danger but its run on this course but over seven furlongs in a slow run race was poor, so I will need to some improvement on this surface before I would consider doing it.
—Spowarticus is the fifth possible front runner but its times here have been slow and it looks to need a faster surface to show its best and stall seven also doesn't help its cause here.
—Great Expectations is a hold up type but its times at this course and distance leave it well outside my top six and isn't for me here.
SUMMARY: Quite a nice class five race with a few in very good form, I expect Jacobs Pillow to attempt to make all along the rails from its stall one draw while Razin hell from stall five might be the one to contest for the lead from stall five so I'm hoping my selection, FUJIN 5/2, can sit just behind the leaders on the rails from its stall two draw and then stay on strongly at the finish to hopefully win but there's not much value at that price.
