—Quality Art is very versatile with its style of running from being held up or to leading also it has been running in class five races recently and this step down in class ought to aid its cause but its best time doesn't make it in my top four so not for me here.
—Your Gifted is my top rated horse and won for me at a big price three runs ago at this course and distance its biggest problem here will be getting a clear run from stall eleven especially with the four fast starters all being in the inside five stalls.
—Prominna can be held up or track the early pace setters but stall seven isn't going to help its cause and isn't in my top four ratings so I doubt it will be involved in the finish.
—Dusty Blue is a hold type of horse but its best time doesn't make it in my top four and will need some luck in running to feature in the finish of this race.
—Louis Vee is my second top rated but is being ridden by a five pounds claiming apprentice which would move it into top spot but its another one where the draw hasn't been kind to it but could just make the frame with some luck but I'm afraid I'm more negative than positive about its chances of actually winning the race.
—Extreme Supreme looks to me like a horse that would prefer a slower surface than this one and its best times here wouldn't put it in my top four then add on the stall ten draw and I think its chances are slim but never say never.
—China Excels is another versatile type of horse but only usual leads when others don't want to so I'm not sure what tactics will be deployed here from stall three but I'm a little doubtful if it will be fast enough to get control of the rails and its best times don't put it in my top four.
—Charlie Lad is my fourth top rated and it ought to be staying on strongly if getting a clear run as it looks like even further would suit it well, it won at this distance last time out at Lingfield where the time wasn't that fast but connections are using Luke Morris again to ride it so it looks like they are expecting another big run and it could make the frame.
—Give Us A Belle starts off as my third top rated but with its jockeys five pound allowance it moves to top rated also it is one of the possible front runners housed in stall four, on paper it has two potential pace setters on its inside but ive a feeling this one might gain control of the rails like it did here two runs ago and lead all the way or at least contest it and prove the stronger.
—Lucky Clover is the fourth horse that has been known to lead and stall one should suit its needs but its not run since September and may need this run to gain its fitness and if getting to the front may tire later in the race and even its best time doesn't put it in my top four.
SUMMARY: A very interesting race for the class, I do think that Lucky Clover might attempt to lead from the one stall but may not be fast enough to do so but if its does it might fade due to a lack of a recent run, I'm hoping the selection GIVE US A BELLE 14/1 can either lead or contest the lead from stall four and if getting to the front it would prove quite hard to pass but at the price I have give it as an each way bet, if Your Gifted and Louis Vee get clear runs they could also have a say in the finish but with the apprentices allowances you can make a case for any of these three being the top rated but my stakes will be kept on the low side.
PS... As you have perhaps noticed Louis Vee is now a non runner (I do my analysis when the forty-eight hour declarations come out) I'm not going to amend my text as it has very little affect on my thoughts and by the way I hope your all enjoying the run of good priced winners this year so far and there is a donate button on the page to show your gratitude.
