4:00 Southwell Winning Racing Tips (30th March) DENNIS WHEATLEY 60TH BIRTHDAY HANDICAP (CLASS 5) (4yo+ 0-70)

Eleven runners with just one known front running type in the shape of Spowarticus drawn in stall four and is my fourth top rated and this one could grab control of the rails and is fairly consistent lately but it seems to find something to beat it and it didn't seem to put its all into the finish last time out when it came to head the winner inside the final furlong but got out battled and finished third in a three way photo, third top is Fujin but the sixth furlong does stretch its stamina in a fast run race so this might not be its day, second top is the top weight HARWOODS STAR 7/2 who seems to be a better horse when it can race prominently without leading and from stall two here it could get that rail position sitting just behind the leaders, top spot is ALPHA TAURI 12/1 and this one ought to be staying on strongly at the finish and has been running over another furlong quite recently, I think the way to go is to back both to show a profit whichever one wins but stakes will be kept on the low side because of the inconsistency of the participants.

5:25 Lingfield - Ten runners but this time there's four front running types and they are all in my top five ratings so it could be a fast run race for the class, third top rated and drawn nearest the rails in stall five is Pucon so it could feasibly get control on the rails my original second top rated is ZIPEDEEDODAH 12/1 who is to be ridden by a good five pound claiming apprentice and that then moves it to the top spot, MORE SPICE 9/4 starts off as my top rated but then drops to second best but all three could be vying for the lead and as long as they don't go mad up front then most of the others probably wont get involved in the finish but if they do go too fast Picansort and Pharoh Jake could be the ones to profit but i'll stick with doing the top two and hopefully show a profit whichever one wins.

5:55 Kempton - Its an apprentice race and where they found such a poor lot of horses must have taken them ages and any stakes will be very low, there's eleven runners but none of them are known as front running types so where the early pace will come from I've no idea I have found only one of these have recorded a time fast enough to register on my figures last year or this and that's BURAUQ 10/1 but then it was only ten spots inside my upper limit so stakes will be low but at its a price an each way bet may make the risk worthwhile.

8:25 Kempton - When I saw it was class four I was hoping for an interesting race but this race is full of so many “maybe's?” I'm not quite sure of anything, I do know there's ten runners with two horses that have been known to lead before but neither have recorded a fast enough time this year or last. Boy In The bar did a time in 2015 that would make it my third top rated but quite a few spots behind my top two and these only have got their times because they are older horses, I've got joint top rated horses in HEAD SPACE 16/1 and MULTITASK 8/1 who are both hold up types and both are capable of winning a race of this calibre but there's a fair few in this race with no course and distance form it muddies the waters and any stakes once again will be kept to a minimum but hopefully by backing both there could be a profit whichever one does the business.

Eric does usually suggest win or each way. He sin't against an each-way bet at fair odds. Thanks for your interest.
