—First Rebellion usually likes to either track the leaders or lead but it does look like its better over five furlongs so doubt this will be its turn and I doubt they will be able to push the horse hard enough to lead from stall ten and still have enough left when they start to catch it.
—Wedgewood Estates has been producing slow times recently here and would need to repeat form from two years ago or more to be involved here so not for me.
—Hab Reeh has also only produced slow times here but I have the feeling it doesn't like this Tapeta surface so I'm leaving this one out of my ideas of the winner.
—Stamp Of Approval is only fifth on my figures and its a hold up type so might struggle to reach the frame if others run to their best.
—Dream Ally usually likes to track the leaders and is my second top rated from stall three and may be capable of getting control of the rails and then have a good chance of at least running a big race.
— Presto Boy hasn't run here this year but on a time from 2015 its the top rated and can either track the leaders or be held up stall five doesn't look too bad looking at the overall make-up of the race.
—Multi Quest has been known to lead before and has got stall seven but like the other possible leader its maybe better over five furlongs so I'm not quite sure what their tactics will be but it will need a degree of luck to win this.
—Ballroom Angel hasn't ever run at this course but its overall form has been quite poor and may prefer further and I cant see it being involved here.
—Diamond Vine is my fourth top rated and is capable of repeating its best but needs to improve to win this and I don't think at aged eight its going to find much improvement if any.
—Little is mt third top rated and drawn in stall four and I a hold up type so may need a fair degree of luck to get a clear run to repeat its best.
—Farrahs Choice has had twelve runs and is still a maiden and has run here but not over this distance and could be a hidden danger if not getting outpaced early so I wouldn't write it off completely.
SUMMARY: This looks a nice race for a class six affair and the only negative is where the early pace will come from as the two known front runners, First Rebellion and Multi Quest are both more five furlong horses than six and would only have a chance if they could get an easy lead and set a slightly slower pace and then kick round the bend and try and steal the race from the front but that's if they are fast enough against these from poor draws, my top three are drawn side by side in stalls three, four and five but the horse from stall four, Little is a hold up horse so I'm thinking Dream Ally might be able to claim control of the rails and the selection PRESTO BOY 9/1 can either sit alongside it or about a length behind it on the rail from which to get a good attacking position for the finish and if the apprentice is worth her seven pounds claim it has a few spots in hand and hopefully will stay on the stronger at the finish.
Presto Boy 9/1 5th
