The 1st division of this poor class 6 race won't take much winning and I've got a couple of horses which I'm not sure about one way or the other but they could be potentially hidden dangers and Bridge Builder is one of them and also a possible front runner from stall 10 while the other pace setter is in stall 1, Swiss Cross has won its last 2 races and here it comes out 2nd best after being raised 9lbs by the official handicapper, my 4th best is Krazy Paving who usually likes to track the leaders, it doesn't matter here but I'm sure this horse is even better on a slower surface, my hot shot is COMPTON PRINCE 11/1 who can track the leaders or be held up and is an each way wager at the price.

Division 2 isn't much better with 9 runners and just one known front runner, Catalinas Diamond hasn't been anywhere near its best times this year and could possibly be able to do a little better but I need some proof from this 8 year old before I could back it again, Costa Filey is 3rd top rated but does find this distance as far as it wants to go and may not be able to save anything for the finish if there's a fast early pace, my top rated on 2016 times is GHOST TRAIN 10/1 who is also the known front runner so if getting the lead could be hard to catch and as usual at the price it has to be given as an each way bet.

This isn't the best of class 4 races but half of the 10 runners have been known to lead before and my 3rd best and top rated are front running sorts so it looks likely to be won from the front, Bertie Blu Boy is the 3rd top rated but stall 9 isn't the best draw but not insurmountable, Burning Thread is my 2nd top rated and the most likely one to prosper if they go too fast up front but top rated is COME ON DAVE 12/1 and if getting to the front could prove hard to catch and it has to be given as an each way bet at the price.

With 11 runners and 3 that have been known to lead it could be a decently fast run race and I think this race will be won from the front of the field, Zipedeedodah is my 2nd top rated on times recorded here and 1 of the possible pace setters but QUALITY ART 112/1 is top rated but stall 10 isn't the best of the draw but with just 3 front runners in might not be a kiss of death especially if it can get to contest the lead and be 3 deep from the rails as long as it's not taken wide on the bends and will be a small each way wager on my books, Sarabi hasn't got any times for this course and distance but has run creditably, timewise, on this surface at Newcastle so could be a danger and being a 3-year-old could still improve.
