MEADWAY recorded its best time in 2015 and even then that time wasn't good enough to be in my top 5, it usually races prominently without leading and despite being the highest rated officially I doubt it can win here.
SHOWDAISY is 1 of 4 in the race that likes to lead and comes out 3rd best on my figures and it's being ridden by a 5lb claiming apprentice which moves it into 2nd spot so must have at least a chance of making the frame.
GUISHAN hasn't done a time worth mentioning in this race and also may need further to show its best so would be a lay if the price permits.
HIGHLAND ACCLAIM has had 8 previous runs on the all-weather without winning and it looks it may need further and a faster surface to produce its best and another possible lay if there's any value in doing so.
MAPPIN TIME can be held up or track the leaders but its best time doesn't put it in my top 5 so I'm doubting it can be competitive in this race.
RAZIN HELL the 2nd of the possible front runners and it starts out as my 2nd top rated but then drops to 3rd and must have a decent chance of at least making the frame.
ORIENTAL RELATION usually races prominently by tracking the leaders and its best recorded time it comes out 4th on my list and will need others to underperform to give it a chance of making the frame.
NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM hasn't any form on this course but its turf form makes it look as though this surface could suit it and therefore could be a bit of a hidden danger that's if it can deploy its usual front-running tactics on this slower surface but I'll be leaving it alone here.
LANDING NIGHT has only produced relatively slow times at this course and distance and therefore it's not in my top 5 and may struggle against some of these.
BOROUGH BOY recorded its best time in 2015 and even its best doesn't put it in my top 5 and then add on the fact that it looks to want further to produce its best and I would be looking to lay it if the price is any value.
BRING ON A SPINNER is the 5th and final horse that's known to have led before and it won last time out here but over another furlong but has won here at this distance and its only turned 4 today and could still have improvement to come and is my top rated.
CROSSE FIRE did me a favour when finishing 3rd last time out at 14/1 and running on strongly at the finish but that was a class lower race and its best figure only makes it 5th on my list but has shown it's coming back to form and I think will be winning again soon but maybe not likely here.
SUMMARY: This course usually favours those that run near the front and my top 3 rated have all been known to lead before but I'm going to side with my top rated of course, then add on it's still relatively a youngster and could improve even more so BRING ON A SPINNER 7/2 is my selection as I think it has deserved a chance to step up to this class of race but with a possible hidden danger and the fact they just might go too fast at the front any stakes will be kept to a lowish level.
