6:15 Wolverhampton Winning Racing Tips (2nd Dec) BETWAY HANDICAP (CLASS 3) (3yo+ 0-95)

horse racing, racing news, betting odds
Gentlemen hasn't had any runs on this surface this year and its best time from 2015 wouldnt be in my top 3 and the draw, stall 12, hasnt been kind Huntsmans Close is versatile with what tactics its deploys but hasnt run on this surface before so not sure what to expect but would be 2nd top rated using turf times and well drawn in stall 4. Aguerooo can be held up or track the leaders and 3rd best on times recorded here and being a 3year old could still improve but stall 11 isnt ideal but could make the frame with some luck King Robert is another 3year old who hasnt run here before but did record a fast time on this surface at Newcastle so could be a danger Zac Brown hasnt had course and distance runs since recording its best time which would be good enough to be my top rated, it can lead or track the pace. Guishan hasnt had many runs on this surface and its best time from 2014 wouldnt put it in my top 4 so not for me and a possible lay if the price permits. Highland Acclaim is versatile with its running style and has run on this surface before but it wasnt a fast time at Newcastle also hasnt won from 6 attempts on the all weather but is top rated using turf times, stall 10 isnt ideal Nimr a 3year old with no runs on the all weather and looks on turf form to either want further or a slower surface but hails from a top stable and cannot be discarded easily but not for me here Upavon has no surface form but can track the leaders or be held up and if taking to this surface could be dangerous Another Wise Kid looks a potential danger after it did record a fastish time at Newcastle and the 3rd best time from its turf runs will need some luck from stall 7 Merdon Castle has time recorded here that would make it my joint 3rd top rated it can be prominent or be held up but stall 6 may be troublesome in this race Ballesteros has poor form over course and distance and may prefer a shorter distance or a slower surface but is in form having won its last 2 races in class 4 but this step up doesn't look ideal for it. Sir Billy Wright recorded its best time in 2015 which would put it in 2nd top spot and this will be its 1st run over this course and distance this year so could make the frame.

SUMMARY: Although both Huntsmans Close (2nd top rated on turf times) and Highland Acclaim (top rated on turf times) have been known to lead before they seem happy to do so if nothing else wants and the only natural looking front running type in the field is ZAC BROWN 16/1 and if so stall 9 won't be an inconvenience and if getting to the front it could be hard to catch, Sir Billy Wright is being ridden by a very capable 3lb claiming apprentice in Eoin Walsh which would move it to top spot but stall 13 could be this ones undoing and I think the percentage call is with backing the selection to lead all the way and luckily at the price it can be backed each way.

Zac Brown 33/1 7th
