1:40 Beverley Racing Tips (27th April) 5f Westwood Handicap (Class 5) (3yo+)

racing tips
With 13 runners this class 5 race could reap benefits, I've got 4 of them marked down as possible pace setters and they are my top 4 ratings, Space Artist is 3rd join top but may need this run for fitness and wasn't in form when last seen in 2016, Bosham is the other 3rd top rated but its 3lb claiming apprentice moves into 3rd spot on its own, in 2ns position I've got LYDIA'S PLACE 10/1 and the trainer has a 21% win ratio at this course and they are using a good 5lb claiming apprentice to help their cause but top spot goes to the 3-year-old LAWLESS LOUIS 7/1 who is making its 1st appearance of the year and it might need this run for fitness but coming from a top stable with a 26% win ratio here looks promising but the 7lb claiming apprentice jockey has had 10 previous rides for this stable without a winner which tempers my enthusiasm for the horses chances, I will go with backing both of them to show a profit whichever one does the business.

A nice class 3 race with 9 runners, well it would be nice if I knew where the early pace was going to come from, I've got potentially hidden improvers in the race just 2 with big negatives aginst their name so I'm left with my top 2 ratings Golden Amber who can be held up or track the pace setters and GENTLEMEN 12/1 who is usually a hold up type, so everything will depend on how fast the early pace is and as I've got no idea who will lead I would have normally left the race alone but I think the price is a fair bit bigger than I expected and therefore I will be having a small each way bet.

Only 6 runners in this class 2 affair and another race where there's too many unknowns for me to bet with any confidence, I've got just 2lb separating my top 3 ratings in order, Kadrizzi, Magnus Maximus and Fujin and of those both Fujin and Magnus Maximus are known as a front-running types and the only 2 in the field but Raucous 11/10 has done a fast time at this distance on good to firm going on turf and has been running in better class races so has to every chance in this race but the price is dire and this is its 1st run on the all-weather, Solar Flair who has won 3 been 2nd twice from just 6 all-weather races but none were but could be a danger, Absolutely So has only shown poor form in its 3 runs this year but there are reasons why and is dangerous on last years form so it's a race I think is best left alone.
