2:20 Newmarket (6th May) Longholes Palace House Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (3yo+)

Racing Tips
This is a cracking Group 3 sprint with a big field of 16 runners and 6 of them have been known to lead before and 3 of my top 4 are possible pace setters, Alpha Delphini my 4th top rated is more a versatile type than a front runner but can do so if needs be, GRACIOUS JOHN 28/1 is my 3rd top rated is either held up or tracks the leaders and could be the one to prosper if they go off too fast so a small each way bet could pay dividends, my 2nd top rated is PRICELESS 16/1 a possible front-runner who won on its seasonal debut last time out and merits the chance to move up to this class of race and another each way bet, my top rated DANCING STAR 8/1 hasn't had a run this year but did win 1st time out last year so can be fit enough for its seasonal debut, I'm reluctant to try and narrow the field down any further and even then my stakes will kept on the low side of things.

Gracious John 33/1 10th
Dancing Star 12/1 11th
Priceless 16/1 5th

With 9 runners but no known front runners which make it hard to get a picture of what might happen, I've got negatives against 3 of the runners, 2 I'm not sure about either way but will wait till they have shown some improved form, Art Obsession in 4th top rated but may need further to show its best, Magical Effect is 3rd top but may prefer some cut in the ground, BOGART 4/1 is my 2nd top rated despite looking as though this trip stretches its stamina but if it's a slow early pace it could play into its hands and the booking of the 5lb claiming apprentice looks significant as he's got an 18% win rated for the stable but I do have MY DAD SYD 7/1 as my top rated and I will have to go with backing them both to show a profit whichever one wins.

Bogart 4/1 7th
My Dad Syd 11/1 5th
3:15 Goodwood -
A nice race with 10 runners and half have been known to lead before and my top 3 are in that half, Dark Shot starts off in 3rd spot 5lb below my joint top rated but the 7lb claimer could move it to top but the jockey is 0-13 for this stable which doesn't inspire much confidence, Stepper Pilot is joint top but this stable have gone with a very good professional jockey while Waseem Faris has a 7lb claiming apprentice who has never ridden for this stable before, I'm not sure what to do and maybe it's best if the race is left alone.

5:15 Doncaster -
A big field of 15 with 6 of them having been known to lead, Handsome Dude is well weighted and becomes my 3rd top rated and is usually a hold up type, Munfallet is my 2nd top rated and one of the possible pace setters as is my top rated RELATED 16/1 and the jockeys of both of my top 2 have 25% win rates for the stables but I'll stick with the top rated but with such a big field stakes will be kept low but a small each way investment might give a profit.

Related 16/1 Unp
5:25 Thirsk -
Only 9 runners but I can't narrow it down any more than 2, I've only got Pea Shooter marked down as a pace setter but its not in my top 4, SEAMSTER 9/1 is my 3rd top rated and the trainer has an 18% win ratio here and the 7lb claiming apprentice jockey has a 29% win ratio for this stable so looks as though they are expecting a big run but my 2nd top is Excessable who is just 1lb below my top rated MUSHARRIF 9/1 who usually races prominently, so I'm going with backing 2 horses to show a profit whichever one does the business.

Seamster 9/1 4th
Musharrif 9/1 9th
