2:50 Chepstow Racing Tips (5th May) Get The Sky Bet Advantage Veterans' Handicap (Class 5) (6yo+)

horse racing tips
This 10 runner race is full of speedsters with 7 of them being known to lead but which one will actually lead is quite hard to predict so I'll concentrate on my top 3 rated horses, 3rd top is Powerful Wind from stall 1 its best time was recorded on a level surface so I'm not sure if it's capable of producing the same times on this undulating course, QUANTOM DOT 11/2 in stall 2 is my 2nd top rated from a time recorded over this course and distance in 2016 and this will be its 1st run of this year but it has won before after a break so cannot be discounted on that reason but my top rated is ROY'S LEGACY 7/2 who ran Thursday so if out again here they must fancy their chances, it does seem to prefer to lead on its own and can be worried out of a race if taken on for the pace setters role but it has got stall 9 which helps its cause, I will go with backing both of them but only to small stakes mainly because of the possibility of a manic early dash and then all of them falling into a tired head nearing the finish.

Roy's Legacy 7/2 1st
Quantom Dot 14/1 5th

3:10 Lingfield (AW)

There's the perfect number of runners with 8 and only one that's known to lead and half the field I've got negatives against, so again I'll concentrate on my top 3 ratings, Encapsulated could have gone top if I had taken off the 7lb's the apprentice can claim but I'm going with leaving it on its original rating which makes it 3rd best and that leaves me with RIGOLLETO 11/2 and NOBLE DEED 9/4 as joint top rated, the former is a front-running sort and could try to lead all the way in this race, the latter likes to track the leader and is drawn next door to it so could follow it out and sit ready to pounce, I can't split them on times but the jockey riding Rigolleto is 0-13 for this stable which doesn't inspire any confidence whilst Noble Deed is being ridden by a jockey who has a 20% win ratio on the stables older horses, so I personally will probably go with backing both to show a profit.

Noble Deed 7/2 2nd
Rigolleto 14/1 8th
3:40 Lingfield (AW)
There's 9 in this race and 3 probable pace setters and that's where I will start, Monumental Man stall 4 and Brother Tiger stall 2 are my joint 3rd top rated and both are possible leaders, then I've got Mossgo in stall 5 as my 2nd top rated and the other possible pacemaker so it looks like being a fast run race but my top rating goes to VIMY RIDGE 11/1 who likes to race prominently and had got the stall 1 draw so should be able to get a decent early position from which to attack late on in the race, I've got positives from the jockey bookings on the selection, Mossgo and Monumental Man so I think I will have to keep my stakes on the low side of things and the betting will make my final decisions for me.

Vimy Ridge 11/1 9th
4:45 Lingfield (AW)
There's 10 runners this time and just my 4th top rated Bubbly Bailey known as a front runner and it's decently housed in stall 4 so could set the pace for the race, Pharoh Jake is my 3rd top rated and the jockey booking doesn't inspire me, in 2nd spot is Eland Ally who is being ridden by a 7lb claimer who has never ridden for this stable before so I'm not sure what to make of that but if I leave that as equal so no weight on or off for the jockey which leaves FOXFORD 10/1 as my top rated and the trainer has an 18% win ratio at this course and the jockey is 3-5 for this stable which points to them expecting a big run here and will do for me despite being drawn widest of all in stall 10, it usually likes to track the pace setters and stay on strongly at the finish.

Foxford 11/1 7th
