5:30 Newmarket Racing Tips (19th May) "Hands And Heels" Apprentice Series Apprentice Handicap (Class 5) (4yo+)

Racing tips
Only 8 runners and it looks likely the going will be good to soft with all the rain that we've had on Wednesday, so I'm analysing but not using my speed figures as they are pointless on the going. When doing the analysis I find more confident lays than bets and you can see the lays at www.winningracingtips.com but in this race I've got a selection in the shape of ANCIENT ASTRONAUTE 13/8 it can be held up or track the leaders and definitely acts on good to soft ground but is unproven on soft ground so a watching brief of the going will be needed but if the conditions are right I will be having a wager on the selection but I wasn't expecting it to be quite this short of price but it will do nicely in a multi bet with something else.

8:40 HAMILTON -

This race of 12 runners has 4 that could set the pace so could play into the hands of my selection AVENUE OF STARS 16/1 who likes to race prominently by tracking the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish in the capable hands of the jockey Graham Lee and hopefully it can find itself back into the winner's enclosure, but once again my stakes will be kept to the low side of things and the price permits me to go with an each-way wager.
