6:25 Chelmsford Racing Tip (10th May) Handicap (Class 4) (4yo+)

racing tips
Quite a nice race for a class 4 affair, there's only 8 runners and 2 that are known to lead but I'm not sure Cultured Knight can lead on this surface which may mean that Zipedeedodah can lead the race and those drawn nearer the rails may get squeezed for room as the front runners head for the rails, Dynamo Walt from stall 1 is my 3rd top rated and does have good trainer and jockey statistics at this course, in 2nd spot is Saved My Bacon who can either be held up or track the leaders but my top rated NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM 5/1 who usually tracks the leaders could have the prime draw in stall 7 to follow the pace setters across to the rails and then it can get a good early position from which to attack late on and to help their cause they have deployed a 5lb claiming apprentice who has won twice from just 9 races for this stable and it all points to the connections expecting a big run from their horse in this race.

Once again there's 8 runners and this time 3 known as pace setters but a quite poor class 5 race Swendab doesn't seem to do as well on grass as all-weather tracks nowadays but is one of the 3 possible leaders and another being Harrison Stickle who looks a forlorn hope in this race as it seems something went wrong with the horse and it only had 1 poor run last year but it must have shown something at home for the connections to persevere with it, I've got Vincenti as my 2nd top rated but this one might need this run to gain fitness but my top rated is CHETAN 11/2 who is the 3rd possible front runner coming from stall 1 but with such a small field the draw may not make much difference, this horse won 3 races on the trot last year 1 on the all-weather and the other 2 on good to firm going and if the going here is suitable, which it looks most likely, and it can reproduce the run when winning at Yarmouth it could have a good chance of getting back to winning ways here especially if it gets to the front and then it ought to be hard to catch.

I hate this course because it's virtually a circle so horses can't stretch out their stride to its full amount, there's a definite advantage of being drawn low but the worst thing for me when trying to map out how a race might be run by each horse and an overall picture is that horses that don't usually lead now try to get a prominent position, this is a 13 runner race and I've got 4 horses that have definite possibilities of leading, El Astronaute has got the plum draw in stall 1 and won 1st time out this year at Newmarket but it has finished 2nd here before so this course isn't a no-no for the horse, Reflektor is in stall 4 but won't want the going to be too fast, Majestic Hero is my 2nd top rated who was beaten in a photo by El Astronaute at Newmarket but then won next time out at Epsom but both times the going wasn't good to firm which suits it better and if the going is fast it could easily reverse the placings with El Astronaute even on worse terms, Blithe Spirit stall 8 is the final known pace setter and I will be surprised if the race is won by anything drawn wider the 8 stall, the bottom 3 in the handicap all look outclassed but as for looking what to back to win this race it might be best to leave it alone.
