2:50 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (26th December)

Horse Racing Tips
KIMBERELLA hasn't any course and distance form but has done a time at Newcastle which would give it a chance of making the frame, it can be either held up or track the leaders but isn't ideally drawn in stall 8 with the makeup of this race.
SALATEEN has won on this surface over 7 furlongs where it led so if able to lead against these must be a danger and has a good draw in stall 2 if it has the speed to get to the front and the price 9/1 looks value to have a small each way bet.
DOUBLE UP is a versatile sort when it comes to racing tactics but hasn't run on this surface before and unless this surface brings out improvement in this horse it may well struggle here and it looks a bit short at 4/1 to be any value.
GRACIOUS JOHN hasn't any form on this surface in the last 2 years but did record a decent time at Lingfield over this distance, it can try to lead and stall 9 might not be too bad in this particular race. (non-runner).
GULLIVER is my top rated over this course and distance and usually likes to sit just behind the pacesetters and from stall 3 in this race, it could get to the rails about a length behind the leaders ready to stay on the stronger at the finish.
INTISAAB has a decent time recorded on good to firm going on the turf but that's no guarantee it will like this surface but never say never to its making the frame but the price 4/1 isn't really big enough to back it each way.
LINE OF REASON is one I would look to lay in this race at 12/1 because of its a much better horse over a shorter distance and may fade nearing the finish here.
MYTHMAKER has a time from Lingfield 2lb’s lower than Gracious John but it has run here before and its best time, recorded in 2015 isn't good enough to win this race so it may struggle to win here and 15/2 looks way too short to me.
POLYBIUS has poor form at this course and then add on the fact that its better over a shorter trip it's another I would look to lay in this race at 9/1 or shorter.
SUMMARY: Theres two that I would definitely lay if they are not too big a price, Salateen is one that I cant discard as if it can lead over this distance we know it won't lose for a lack of stamina, the rest need to improve for the surface to be compatitive which leaves me with what looks the safest call in the race in the shape of the 3-year-old GULLIVER 10/1 who I hope can get a good early prominent position from which to attack late on and then prove the stronger, its got the lowest official handicap rating but im fairly sure it can improve on that and hopefully enough to win this race and luckily at the price it can be backed each way.

Gulliver 10/1 2nd
