3:00 Wolverhampton (24th February) Free Racing Tips

Top Cop has never run at Wolverhampton but on the evidence of his previous runs I doubt very much the course will suit.  Ron Harris' gelding can either track or lead. Shawkantango has been in decent form of late but in slowly run races. Being a hold up-type I'm doubtful if he will be able to pick up
the leaders unless they go too fast and burn each other out. Bapak Bangsawan has only recorded slow times over course and distance. This bay can try to lead or track
the leaders. However, I doubt if he will be fast enough to win. ISLAND LEGEND is another that can lead. In fact the horse is quite versatile with its running style and the most likely winner. Solemn is a hold-up type and comes out second on my figures - should be thereabouts. Your Gifted likes to sit off the pace and I don't think it's quick or classy enough to catch the leaders.

SUMMARY: Island Legend is the most likely winner. I'm slightly wary when a trainer fields two horses in a race. Milton Bradley employs two top jockeys. My advice is to back Island Legend at 6/1+ to win and have a saver bet on stablemate *Solemn. (E.R.I.C.)
