3:00 Musselburgh Racing Tips (22nd July) Expert Sprint Analysis

This is a poor class six five furlong handicap. Added to this, the fact that there's no known pace makers it could be a tactical race. Top rated is BALTIC SPIRIT 6/1. Despite not really being able to see how the race should pan out it's probably worth having a small bet.

4:00 Musselburgh - Eight runners in this class four race with three horses Space Artist, Gottcher & Jumbo Steps who all have led before, so there should be a decent early pace and Gottcher is second top rated - hard to catch. Bottom weight FLASH CITY 9/4 is favourite and very well weighted on its best form and is obviously my top rated the only drawback to me is the price.

6:40 Carlisle - Another small eight runner field but only a poor class five race. I've only got two horses that have achieved my bottom rating and they are very closely handicapped. There are also two known possible pace-setters in the field: Passionada, who could try to lead but isn't one of those rated, The Nifty Fox, comes out second top to IGENTI 4/1 being ridden by the component five-pound claimer Kevin Stott. This selection is also the other known probable pace maker and if it does get to the front it should have enough to keep the rest at bay.

SUMMARY: 3:00 Musselburgh - A small bet on BALTIC SPIRIT only because I think the 6/1 on offer makes the bet a bit of value. 4:00 Musselburgh - FLASH CITY looks well in at the weights but 9/4 a bit short but I suppose, in reality, if I were a bookmaker I wouldn't be offering anything bigger. 6:40 Carlisle - If INGENTI 4/1 gets to the front, which it should do, it will be very hard for these to catch.
